Bush TANG discharge a "local" document?
Reposting this from a GD2004 thread (for the DUers who do not read that forum), can anyone speak to this post:
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
He technically had several months remaining on his contract. The National guard Discharge published was executed at his "unit" in Texas, then his records were shipped the Air Reserve Personnel Center in Colorado.
Note, Bush didn't even sign his Texas discharge paper (member unavailable to sign)!
His records are now at ARPERCEN in St. Louis, and even if the Texas microfiche was "scrubbed," ARPERCEN should have all of the original documents, including his FINAL discharge issued by Uncle Sam!

Just gotta hope that none of Bush's pirates got in there and "scrubbed' those records as well, 'cause they sure couldn't have done it before he was President.

This could be important. Any comments welcome!

1. Isn't that the place that had a big fire a while back??
I vaguely remember reading or hearing about a bunch of military records that were "lost" in a fire somewhere..

3. I think they aimed for bush* documents but missed...
A fire at the NPRC in St. Louis on July 12, 1973, destroyed about 80 percent of the records for Army personnel discharged between November 1, 1912, and January 1, 1960. About 75 percent of the records for Air Force personnel with surnames from "Hubbard" through "Z" discharged between September 25, 1947, and January 1, 1964, were also destroyed.
