A question that needs to be asked is What is US foreign policy now?
If they are saying there was no imminent threat and they never said there was, (which by the way they are now saying)is it now official policy that we will invade a sovereign nation because we suspect the leader has mistreated his people? I think we need to get them to spell it out in no uncertain terms. All the chatter now is it was okay to do this because Saddam was a bad man. Is that our new foreign policy? Attack any country we wish if we feel their leader is a bad man. IMO it was extremely bad policy to Pre-emptively invade another country no matter what but if they truly were massing at our border with millions of troops we would be justified. I find NO justification what-so-ever now after the fact and the more they try and spin this the more our foreign policy gets convoluted. Make them spell it out for all to be 100% clear about it.

1. They can't make it 'clear'...
...because then they'd have to explain their evolving policy of preemptive war. RWing Republicans simply don't care WHY Bush* attacked Iraq. All they care about is that they're in power.

2. Pre-Emptive Redaction
I think that is Chimpmo's new stratagem.

3. US policy is to impose its will on its properties around the globe, and

secure its natural resources there in order to generate revenues for American business interests.

4. We never attacked because of Saddam being "bad man," WMDs or 9/11
All of those excuses were smokescreens for the neocon goal of Middle East, oil and (hence) world domination for an elite that seeks utter and complete control domestically and overseas. (Geez; I sound like a conspiracist. So be it.) They have made no secret of their goals, (PNAC), only their tactics and reasons. "The Iraqi people," 9/11 and the WMDs were only used to fleece the sheep. The new commission investigating intelligence failures is a joke. There was no "failure" here; the intelligence was ALWAYS going to be manipulated so as to take out Iraq. Cabinet member Paul O'Neill confirmed that this was an overarching goal from Day One. I remember yelling at the TV screen prior to the 2002 election, pleading for someone (even a spineless Dem) to pull the mask off this madness. Didn't happen.
