1. Already wrote him...

I told him I look forward to his scripted, Nerf interview and that I found it disgusting that our president has to edit his interview to appear presidential.

14. Here's hoping this show is introduced like this:
Mr. Rove contacted the shows producers and requested an interview on Meet the Press. Karl informed us that they demanded the entire hour for the Resident. The shows content and conditions were set by the Resident's handlers.

1. A list of the questions was to be approved and vetted by *Bush's advisors. The questions were provided to the Chimp 10 days prior to the taping. They were also allowed to script questions of their own. It was agreed that several "takes" would be allowed and required. There were several subjects that were "off limits."

2. At the insistence of Karl Rove, the show was to be taped 2 days before it was to be aired, and final editing was to be approved by the WH.

To see what countries God wants him to threaten in the coming week. Otherwise he'd be happy to set aside an hour to chat with his buddy Tim.

3. Here's my question....
Dear Mr. Russert:
Last time you had an interview with Mr. Bush on Meet the Press, when he was a candidate for president, he told you that rumors of his arrest record were not true. It took less than 48 hours for that to be revealed as a lie.

I hope you will ask him about that earlier prevarication as you get into why he has lied so often to the American public.

NBC has shifted to the right big time. Look at the new Dennis Miller addition.

Except for CNN and mostly CBS, the rest of the media slants the coverage bias in favor of Bush.

Not only do we need to take back the White House, we also need to take back the press, so at least they are impartial...

9. Let's Never Quit!
I think we are doing a fantastic job with the media. It is not perfect of course but what would happen if we did nothing?
We all know that the media is all about M O N E Y and when they keep hearing that we are closely monitoring their little dirty tricks they have to at least notice.

So, let's turn up the heat!

Every time I talk to someone about politics I refer them to this site,smirkingchimp.com,moveon.com. Many people do not know that there are sites on the web where clear thinkers(like us) have a voice.

Who would have believed that moveon.com's commercial would have made so many people stand up and take notice? What would we have done without the Dean Campaign's genius for using the web?

Democrats are creative and Republicans are generally straight up and down in their ability to reason, that's why * is so perfect for their cause. We can beat them at this game and win this election!

YEA FOR US! Let's keep rolling and emailing and writing and calling and protesting this unjust administration and their unjust war.

11. I have already written twice.
The first:
Dear Mr. Russert:

What is the over-under on the number of lies president Bush will tell on his upcoming appearance on Meet the Press?

Is it true that Karl Rove is writing the questions you will ask?

Will you freedom kiss the president's ass on camera or off?

Sincerely,

XXX

The second:
Dear Mr. Russert:

Please ask president Bush whether it is true that the Bush administration did not reveal the identity of a CIA operative but the White House is cooperating with the 9/11 commission since democrats are not good Americans just as the Jews were not good Germans and government spending went down if you do not count the increased government spending but the boxes were labeled "Made in USA" even though the $400 billion decorative medicare turkey was not labeled $525 billion and Bush's plane was spotted on the way to Baghdad because before Saddam bought the uranium and became an "urgent" but not "imminent" threat Bush had no plans on his desk to invade Iraq since the aircraft carrier was too far offshore for the Navy to make a large enough banner to describe the WMD we have found in Iraq some of which could hit the US and some of which Saddam was giving to Osama for following Saddam's plans and using Iraqi hijackers on 9/11 so that everyone got a tax cut which allowed Iraqi oil revenue to pay for the cost of the reconstruction of Iraq after the invasion by a small number of troops who would be greeted with flowers because Bush misunderstood the August 6, 2001 intelligence briefing warning of the upcoming 9/11 attacks and that is why Laura dropped the dog.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

XXX

17. Here's mine:
Dear Mr. Russert,

Here's a list of questions I'd like to hear you ask Mr. Bush*:

1. What's your favorite color?
2. If you could be a tree, what kind of tree would you be?
3. Do you like puppies?
4. What's your favorite kind of ice cream?
5. What color is your favorite tie.
6. Does God speak directly to you, or do the messages come through Karl Rove?
7. Do you think God was speaking directly to Pat Robertson when He told him you would win a second term in a landslide, or did the message come through Karl Rove?

I guess that's enough for an hour.
I wouldn't want you to ask him any questions that might be embarrassing or that might get General Electric in trouble.
I look forward to seeing the show.

20. Wrote him!
Dear Mr. Russert,

Will you continue the three year trend of the media throwing Mr. Bush one softball question after another? Or, will you show some spine and actually follow up Bush's usual evasions and prevarications with some tough follow up questions?

NBC in particular seems to be playing by the Karl Rove script. You've bought in on the Bush was honorably discharged so he served his time in the National Guard canard. Why not ask Bush to produce the original records showing time served?

And, why won't Bush release the intelligence briefings he received in August of 2001 to the 9/11 commission? What is he hiding? Was he told of a serious threat of hijackings at that time?

Also, NBC is toeing the line in blaming the lead up to the Iraq invasion on faulty intelligence. Was the intelligence ever as certain as the administration claimed? "Maybes" got deceptively spun into "We knows, we are certain, etc." in the propaganda effort. Did the intelligence ever show a link between Saddam Hussein and 9/11? Or Saddam Hussein and Al Qaeda? The Bush propaganda machine certainly encouraged belief in those fallacious links.

And, if as Bush now claims, he would still invade Iraq knowing what he does now, doesn't that prove once again that his critics are absolutely correct? It wasn't really about WMD, that was merely an excuse. He lied to get us into a costly and bloody morass.

Finally, in the usual Bush administration game of deception, Bush continually calls on congress to restrain spending. Yet all the spending congress has approved to date is exactly what Bush requested. His latest budget request merely continues his dangerous borrow and spend policies. And if Bush trusts the American people half as much as he professes, why isn't the cost of the Iraq occupation included in the budget? Why will Bush wait until after the election to make his request? Could it be he really doesn't trust the American people, or does he realize that they won't support his fiasco if they know the truth?

I repeat, will you finally show some spine in questioning Bush? Has the press still any integrity?

23. My questions...
This is the email I sent to MTP...

Mr. Russert, et al,

Congratulations on hooking the Big Fish this weekend. Here’s hoping you can reel him in. In the interests of contributing to this fish story (not to mention stretching this fershlugginer fishing metaphor way past the breaking point), I’ve mixed up some attractive globs of bait for your consideration:

1) Mr. President, in the months before the war in Iraq, U.N. weapons inspectors were crawling all over the country, finding nothing. Did it ever occur to you that they might be right, and that there were, in fact, no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq?

2) Our military, besides being the best fighting force in the world, is also renowned for its meticulous bureaucracy. By filling out a few simple forms, members of the Army, the Navy, and the other branches of our armed forces can obtain painfully detailed records of their service to this country. Given the troubling questions that have arisen about the last year of your obligations to the National Guard, why not simply open your military records to the public, and clear up this matter once and for all?

3) In an interview a few months ago, you famously revealed to Dianne Sawyer that you don’t read newspapers. In past interviews, you’ve stated that your favorite book as a child was “The Hungry Caterpillar,” a book that wasn’t written until well after your childhood years. It’s been widely reported that you prefer to give speeches via an earpiece prompter, rather than a teleprompter. Mr. President, there is no way to put this delicately: Do you have a reading disorder?

4) Mister President, why are you and Condoleeza Rice so reluctant to testify under oath to the committee investigating 9/11?

5) Our country has been led by a number of military heroes over the years. Eisenhower, Kennedy, your father. While serving as commander-in-chief, however, none of these veterans donned military uniforms for the purposes of a photo op. In 20/20 hindsight, do you consider your “Mission Accomplished” speech aboard the aircraft carrier to have been a bit tacky?

6) Mister President, why don’t you want Vice-President Cheney’s daughter to enjoy the civil benefits of marriage?

7) Mister President, when you make public appearances in this country, those that peacefully protest your policies are sequestered far from your sight, sometimes over a mile away, while those that support you are allowed to come almost within arm’s reach of you. While it’s understandable that the Secret Service has to do its job to protect you from harm, many claim that this is overkill; that your administration is attempting to keep dissenting voices from appearing on the evening news. Isn’t America as a whole supposed to be a “Free Speech Zone?”

8) In the days after 9/11, air traffic was grounded for security reasons. And yet, your administration made an exception for members of the Bin Laden family, ensuring their swift return to Saudi Arabia, homeland of most of the 9/11 hijackers. Why?

9) Between Iraq and Afghanistan our military is stretched about as thin as it can get. Members of the Reserves, who weren’t especially trained for hot zone combat, have been stationed in Iraq for nearly a year, and many are categorically stating that they absolutely will not re-up when they finally return home. Meanwhile, reports are trickling in across the country that local draft boards have begun staffing up. For the record, Mister President: If you are re-elected in 2004, will you re-instate the draft?

10) In the months leading up to the 2000 presidential election, Katherine Harris removed thousands of legally-eligible black voters from the voting rolls in Florida, tipping the contentious battleground state in your favor. How is your administration working to ensure that such electoral malfeasance does not occur in THIS year’s presidential election?

Good luck,

Mike Stemmle

PS If I’m the 10,000th yahoo to clog your email with a list of questions, do I get a MTP Coffee Mug?

-- Think any of tese questions, in any form, will escape Tim's lips?

24. Here's MY question.....
Dear Mr. Russert:

In regards to this Sunday's scheduled interview, kindly ask Mr. G.W. Bush why his Administration is primarily populated by members of the Project for a New American Century (PNAC)? (Please refer to the following documentation if you are unfamiliar with this group.)

===================================================

In June 1997, the Project for a New American Century (PNAC) was born. Populated by influential Movers
of industry and Shakers of public opinion, the PNAC is an organization united in the vision for a global U.S.
empire - "Pax Americana" - through coercion and military domination. Their philosophy can be simply
summarized:

- There are countries to plunder and fortunes to be made. You have it, we want it. Do as we say or suffer the
consequences.
- The U.S. already has a powerful military but we plan to nurture and grow it until it's massive and we are
indominable. Resistance is futile. We are.......

Dick Cheney, Jeb Bush, Donald Rumsfeld, Paul Wolfowitz, Steve Forbes, William J. Bennett, Frank
Gaffney, and I. Lewis Libby, signator's - among others - of the PNAC's "Statement of Principles".

"We need to...challenge regimes hostile to our interests and values."

"We need to increase defense spending significantly if we are to carry out our global responsibilities
today and modernize our armed forces for the future."

"It is important to shape circumstances before crises emerge."

http://www.newamericancentury.org/statementofprinciples.htm

JANUARY 1998 - The PNAC knew that he who owns the oil also owns the world so they sent a letter to
President Clinton urging him to attack Iraq and remove Saddam Hussein from power since he put "a
significant portion of the world's supply of oil at hazard". Clinton didn't grant them their wish and the PNAC
was disheartened that they couldn't manipulate the military while outside of the White House power
structure.

http://www.newamericancentury.org/iraqclintonletter.htm

MARCH - APRIL 1999 - In an effort to capture and control the castle and all its warriors and weapons, the
PNAC offered up members Steve Forbes, Dan Quayle and Gary Bauer to run as Republican candidates in
the upcoming Presidential election.

http://www.usnews.com/usnews/news/election/profile.htm

JUNE 1999 - Ever persistent and determined to maximize their potential for success in the Presidential
campaign, the PNAC exercised their power of nepotism and member-Jeb Bush's brother George stepped up
to the plate to join the race.

Assured that the White House would soon be theirs, the PNAC debuted their 76-page blueprint to achieve
world domination. "Rebuilding America's Defenses" became the PNAC's manifesto, detailing the ideal level
of military power to specifically eliminate the hostile regimes of Iraq, Iran, Syria and North Korea and it
endorsed pre-emptive strikes against them, tradition be damned. Iraq was given star billing as Control
Central for their Mideast base of operations.

"At present the United States faces no global rival. America’s grand strategy should aim to
preserve and extend this advantageous position as far into the future as possible."

"American landpower is the essential link in the chain that translates U.S. military supremacy into
American geopolitical preeminence.

"We cannot allow North Korea, Iran, Iraq or similar states to undermine American leadership."

"While the unresolved conflict with Iraq provides the immediate justification, the need for a
substantial American force presence in the Gulf transcends the issue of the regime of Saddam
Hussein."

What is particularly foreboding and chilling in view of events to later unfold, is this statement bemoaning the
lengthy process of rebuilding the existing U.S. military according to the heightened standards and
specifications the PNAC aspired to.

...the process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long
one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event - like a new Pearl Harbor."

http://cryptome.org/rad.htm

DECEMBER 2000 - In a highly contentious Presidential vote battle on the home turf of PNAC-Jeb Bush,
the Supreme Court decided that George Bush was the new President.

Bush now had the green light to seamlessly merge members of the PNAC into his Administration with no one
the wiser. PNAC members elevated to the Bush hierarchy include, among others:

Donald Rumsfeld - Secretary of Defense
Paul Wolfowitz - Deputy Secretary of Defense
Elliott Abrams - Member of the National Security Council
John Bolton - Undersecretary for Arms Control and InternationalSecurity
Richard Perle - Chairman of the advisory Defense Policy Board
Richard Armitage - Deputy Secretary of State
John Bolton - Undersecretary of State for Disarmament
Zalmay Khalilzad - White House liaison to the Iraqi opposition

An Honorable Mention was awarded to Condoleezza Rice - National Security Advisor - who is a former
oil-company consultant having been on the board of directors of Chevron as its main expert on Kazakhstan.

The PNAC agenda had now passed "Go". The most powerful military machine in the world stood at their
ready and Saddam was in the crosshair.

26. I sent two emails to Russert
Unfortunately I only saved one of them (see below). The other email mentioned that the President's recent statements in 2 different press conferences that Saddam wouldn't let the UN inspectors back into Iraq was so clearly opposite to the established facts that it was causing much consternation on internet blogs and forums as to the mental state of the President. He owed it to his viewers to ask the President to explain how he came to the conclusion that Saddam would not let the inspectors back in.

My other email

Dear Mr. Russert

I understand that you will be interviewing Mr. Bush on Saturday for your MTP program. Now I know that Mr. Bush's supporters proclaim him to be a born-again Christian and therefore one would tend to think it's not likely he would try to tell any mis-truths during an interview. However, according to a recent article in the Toronto Globe and Mail, Mr. Bush has a pretty colorful vocabulary (if you catch my drift) for someone who is supposed to be a born again Christian.

Quote:
The Canadians didn't expect the morality play. Nor did they expect that, almost in the same breath, Mr. Bush would be filling the air with the f-word and other saucy expletives of the type that would surely leave the Lord perturbed. /End Quote

www.globeandmail.com/servlet/ArticleNews/TPStory/LAC/20040205/COMARTIN05/TPComment/TopStories

Now just in case during the course of the interview you suspect that Mr. Bush isn't quite the honest Christian we might all have once thought and is maybe trying to squeak by a nose stretcher or two, I am sure you will find this tool useful in interpreting Mr. Bush's body language to help you assess the veracity of his responses.

Regards
xxxxx
