How would current Dem candidates react to Gore if he got in?
Would any of them attack Gore on his positions or percieved mistakes from 2000?

Would any of them drop out (Lieberman)and maybe even work to get Gore nominated?

Not saying Gore should or shouldn't get back in (not in this thread, anyway) and not saying any of the current candidates should react in any particular way. Just curious what others think might be the response from the current field.

1. Does this really matter?
Not to be disrespectful to you, but I'm pretty sure a lot of the current candidates would be none too happy, but I also think they might not want to start in on any attacks.

2. Asking for a lot of speculation
Let Gore actually enter the race and I will start to consider the ramifications. Right now, this is too much like Clark.

5. Just thinking out loud
A good bit of talk about him getting in, and I started to wonder how the others would react. Wanted to see what other duers thought about it.

Seemed pretty innocent and relevent to me. Not like this is the first speculative/what-if thread on DU.

Yet it seems I have inadvertently irritated a few people, which is never my intent.

4. As far as the muttering...
The muttering helps Dean, hurts Kerry. It evens the playing field and has actually helped Dean.

Especially in NH - http://www.draftgore.com/ (New NH poll released today)

I think an actual announcement would be perhaps welcomed by some lower tier candidates but I could not guess as to what the higher numbered candidates (Kerry, Edwards, Dean, Gephardt, Lieberman) would do.

6. I think Gore coming in would
pretty much wipe out the field.

Kerry would disappear for sure as would Liebermann and Gephardt and Kucinek andf Graham.

I think only Sharpton and Dean could survive it.
