CA GOP setting up to trash CA SecState Kevin Shelly

He is in charge of certifiying these recall petition signatures. This woman on H&C was warning against the possibility that Shelly would be a hardass on certifying the signatures and delaying the counts, suggesting that he might try to "steal" the recall election. The Grand Old White People's Party seems determined to make Shelly their Katharine Harris. Well Boo Hoo! Payback is going to be a bitch!!

1. This recall is a right wing coup because

everywhere that the GOP had tables set up to sign petitions in my area, there was no opposition. I brought this up at the last meeting of my local Democrat's Club. I mean, I can't do this by myself. Democrats should have had a table set up opposite these clowns with flyers explaining the facts. No one was interested in doing this so, sometimes I think we deserve what we get because of the apathy displayed.

2. Shelley should follow the rules to the letter and give the GOP

no breaks whatsoever. Let them attack him--I hope he doesn't fold.
