What Are Bush's "Tells"?
What type of behavior can we look for in his Meet The Press appearance that will reveal when he's lying?

Are there any ticks or twitches or postures or facial expressions that he shows whenever he's caught off-guard or when he's completely unfamiliar with the subject?

Please share them here.

The only one I've noticed is that he blinks his eyelids fast and frequently whenever he's nervous.

-- Allen

P.S. I'm guessing he would be a lousy poker player.

3. There was a thread on this a day or two ago
People mentioned the way he smirks/shows you how to react to his statements; stammering; looking to the side; raising his eyebrows. I mentioned a hand gesture he makes to emphasize his points -- call it "sweeping the snow off the car hood" forward push.

Also, check out www.takebackthemedia.com and look at "How to Spot a Liar."

9. Yeah your right about his hand gestures.......
and I've noticed some of his men do it too. Esp. Scott Mc. Watch him sometime and see what you think. It's like he's been trained to use certain gestures. It looks very unnatural.

11. The two biggies I notice most are...
his eyes fluttering and eyebrows raising. Also the stammering.

Also, look into his eyes and read what's there -- he is as transparent as glass.

8. Interesting!
Does he lisp when he's lying, or does it come out at other times also?

6. My guess is that he would actually be a decent poker player
because he REALLY believes his own lies, thus he is able to tell them with a look of truth. I think it's when he has to reveal some truth that his 'tells' would show. Look for pauses and slower than usual talking with deliberate efforts to speak. When he talks about death or something along that he is able to string his words together the smoothest. It's when he has to talk about things that disinterest him, that is MOST things, that he has trouble. The umms and ahhs get longer and come at awkward places. I can't stand to watch him long enough to match facial movements to his lies/truths.

10. I've noticed
he gets this really strickened, tight lipped look when confronted with questions he can't answer. It's the same look he had 9/11 morning at the school. It's like a mix of guilt and anger.
