Bush/Cheney...A New Low.. (It's FROM *, and the header says that)

February 3, 2004

Dear xxxxxxxxx,

Democratic attacks on President Bush have reached a new low in the form of false accusations and innuendo about the President's honorable service in the National Guard.

First, activist Michael Moore called President Bush a "deserter." Then, former Democratic Senator Max Cleland said President Bush "didn't even complete his tour."

Finally, this past Sunday, Democratic National Committee Chairman Terry McAuliffe, accused the President of being AWOL, describing the President's service in the National Guard by saying, "George Bush never served in our military in our country."

These are the kinds of vicious, personal attacks we can expect to face as the Democrats try anything to defeat President Bush. Don't let them succeed. Please donate today - $100, $75, $50, $25, even just $5 will help us answer these shameful attacks and tell America the truth - that President Bush is an honorable man working to make our country safer and stronger both at home and abroad:

Sadly, none of the Democratic Presidential candidates, including John Kerry, will repudiate these slanderous attacks against our President.

"I don't even know what the facts are," Kerry said yesterday.

However, a man seeking the presidency has an obligation to get the facts straight before he sends his surrogates out to slander the Commander-in-Chief. Don't let the Democrats get away with these false accusations against President Bush. You have the power to answer these attacks by going to:

The facts are simple: President Bush served honorably in the National Guard and he was honorably discharged. Today, he serves as our Commander-in-Chief. Peter Jennings called the accusation by Michael Moore, "a reckless charge, not supported by the facts," and the Annenberg Center at the University of Pennsylvania has said that the charges are unfounded.

Thank you for your continued support. We're counting on you to help re-elect President Bush this November.

Sincerely,

Marc Racicot
Chairman
Bush-Cheney '04

If you are solicited with this nonsense, then go back at them with the ads saying Max Cleland wasn't patriotic.

he gave up 36 days of total service in his years in the guard. Max cleland only gave up 3 limbs. 36 beats 3 right?

4. The new low is.....
Saying you need money to set the record straight,
Bush could go on any number of programs and field questions about his service, or lack thereof.....

why do they need money to do this?

Hey, Racicot, why don't you just SHOW your boy's military records, huh?
That'd shut somebody up pretty quick (most likely Racicot)

5. Hmmmm. . . .
This is the only "proof" they provide for their position in that letter:

"Peter Jennings called the accusation by Michael Moore, "a reckless charge, not supported by the facts," and the Annenberg Center at the University of Pennsylvania has said that the charges are unfounded."

So let's see, Peter Jennings and the Annenberg Center are now the authorities when it comes to whether AWOL the AWOL Chimp was AWOL or not :).

Hmmm, I think I'll go with the actual records that show Bush not showing up for a year.
