"Tough Crowd" and politics
I'd like to hear opinions on "Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn." It's a very entertaining show, but it seems to have a right wing slant to it. I don't say that just because they make fun of Democrats (Daily Show does that too and Jon Stewart seems like a left winger to me); there just seems to be a conservative anger permeating that show.

1. It depends on the mix..
of who the comedians on are. In general I find its actually a pretty balanced show, at least compared to Fauxes idea of balanced.

I like it overall..

2. I can't stand Colin Quinn.
Besides the fact that he really is an idiot, and shows it every time he opens his mouth - he's just not funny. Besides that, that Italian sob they always have on there represents the worst in "comedy."
I don't know how anyone can watch it. Watching four idiots and maybe one halfway intelligent person debate politics aint my idea of entertainment.

3. yup, looks kinda right wingerish to me
Not overtly, but I've seen it enough times to figure it out.

Seems like they are trying to do the macho, Bush props, manly kinda chickenshit bravado thing.

Since I live in Texas, I know just what that looks like - lol.

4. It is very right wing
Mainly because Colin Quinn is such a whore, and most of his guests are right wing nutcases. Occasionally they have a liberal guest, but they usually get shouted down.

Its really odd, because it seems like Colin Quinn decided he wanted to have a show like "Politically Incorrect", but wanted to focus on guests who only knew what they saw on Fox News.

Any given episode of that trashy garbage program will reveal some of the most hateful, mysogynistic, rasicst tendencies that conservative "thought" has to offer.

5. Yeah, who ever told Colin Quinn he was funny? His Mom?
the guy has absolutely no ear for comedy. He's a dolt.

I really don't get it. It's like somebody took the teamster that was driving them to the set and had him read a comedy routine.

If I laugh, I laugh AT him for being such an incompetent.

7. Quinn has no sense of timing, his delivery is moronic and draggy
and his idea of comedy is a football player crushing a nerd's face.

Exactly the opposite of what I look for in a comedian. He was barely tolerable on "Remote Control," a disaster on "Weekend Update," and the last person I'd rely on for a laugh. He makes me nervous and tense, but not in a good way, like Andy Kaufman or Michael O'Donoghue....more like a drunken boor forcing his sportswatching habit on his book-reading family.

6. Pretty awful, about as funny as radio 'Morning Zoo Crew'
I can't even watch it for more than a minute. Colin Quinn is about as funny as colon cancer. He should go back to hosting game shows.
