6. This is MUST SEE TV --leftcoast alert
Speaks of the world's fear and hatred of the USA. Harry gives the reasons.

"I'm an activist."

Damn, that was good.

Belafonte's thoughts were well-reasoned and exquisitely presented.

tape it if you can.

7. The words of Paul Robeson
which Harry quoted were especially striking to me. Robeson impressed upon Belafonte to keep showing people that all our differences are our strengths. He told him to keep bringing out that different cultures have much to teach us, if we can put our fears aside and just watch and listen. (He said it much more poetically, of course.)

Wish I had heeded your advice, and taped it! Harry Belafonte never fails to inspire!

Thanks so much for the heads up!

Kanary

8. Poor Harry
It is is really sad that a icon such as Mr. Belafonte would cast the shadow of "Uncle Tom" on the old warrior Powell. I wonder how many times did Mr. B flash that Island smile and then sing and dance for those wonderful white American dollars.
