Time to ask Powell to resign Again!
Last summer, TVNL ran an email campaign to tell Colin Powell that his resignation was appropraite, cosidering the lies he had told at the UN. Thousands responded, but it was useless. Now, it'a time to renew the call. Here's the form used last time around. All it takes is a click...or a download and a stamp for snail mail. I think it's time to repeat the gesture and tell Powell how terribly disappointed we are in his betrayal of the people. Doesn't take much. Might accomplish something, - if nothing else, telling him how you feel.

3. Powell: "I'm not reading this, this is bullshit."
Powell was Under Pressure to Use Shaky Intelligence on Iraq: Report
Agence France Presse

Friday 30 May 2003

US News and World Report magazine said the first draft of the speech was prepared for Powell by Vice President Richard Cheney's chief of staff, Lewis "Scooter" Libby, in late January.

According to the report, the draft contained such questionable material that Powell lost his temper, throwing several pages in the air and declaring, "I'm not reading this. This is bullshit."

Cheney's aides wanted Powell to include in his presentation information that Iraq has purchased computer software that would allow it to plan an attack on the United States, an allegation that was not supported by the CIA, US News reported.

The White House also pressed Powell to include charges that the suspected leader of the September 11 hijackers, Mohammed Atta, had met in Prague with an Iraqi intelligence officer prior to the attacks, despite a refusal by US and European intelligence agencies to confirm the meeting, the magazine said.

5. but this kind of email campaign is noticed
He doesn't open the mail. His staff does, and the word gets out. That's why there is some chance it will have some effect. You'd be amazed at what numbers can do. Heck.. nothing to lose. And it would bring Bush down considerably.

6. Powell serves our purpose
Powell seems to be the only person in the administration with any semblance of a conscience. He has a tendency to publicly question the administrations pasts decisions, which only serves to embarrass Bush. Let him stay on and continue this.

7. Him and his son need the boot
Colin has lost all my respect. I actually told Uncle Sam that he was the #1 person I admired when I applied for an Army 4 year scholarship in High School.

His son (chairing the FCC) is an even bigger discrace. How dare he igore the emails, phone calls and letters from *thousands and thousands* of people opposed to media consolidation?

These guys should be run outta DC, also: Cheney, Condi, Rummy, Wolfowitz, Perle...(y'all know the rest)

9. sounds like the slavemaster
is cutting his man loose and feeding him to the hounds. If powell does not extract his pound of flesh, he's no warrior. We're yet to see what the powell senior's manhood really is, whether he has the balls to stand his ground.

Junior powell is just a wanker. The agents of the matrix, are not powerful at all. The movie is wrong. They are like michael powell. His policies are cruel and stupid, and begs comparison to the man.
