Just heard B*sh to be on Meet the Press
this Sunday for the full hour.

OMG, he is really really really really worried!!!!

Should be entertaining counting the lies if you can stomach the full hour.

1. I don't know if I can stomach it.
Is it the AWOL stuff that is getting him out? We he talk about being in de-tox?

9. The plan is probably to end the AWOL charge once and for all.
George W. will say, "I did serve and I was honorably discharged, and the people who say otherwise weren't there and don't know what they're talking about."

And then all the pundits will applaud him to the sky for showing such passion and declare that he's answered the question and no one should raise the subject, again.

Jayzus - that should be interesting. But probably the questions will all be pre-screened, with no followups allowed.

6. Rove & Russert went over the ground rules

Karl: Now, Tim, no AWOL talk, nothing about the fraudulent budget numbers, and absolutely nary a peep about the sexed-up WMDs. Got it?

Tim: But, but ...

Karl: Four words, Tim: Ricin, anthrax, your family.

Tim: Yessir!

7. I hope Russert has the guts
to throw in an unexpected statement or question.

I watched him on MSNBC last night covering the election returns and it was the first time I ever saw him really going after the repubs and the pResident.

This isn't about Russert's guts, it's about George W. proving to the pundits how tough he is.

Just like George H. W. Bush criticized Dan Rather during an interview in 1988, and then all the pundits cheered George H. W. Bush for showing how tough he is.

George W. will criticize Russert at some point on Sunday, and then all the pundits will applaud George W.

13. It all depends where the interview is conducted.
If its at NBC Studios, Russert will grill him.
If its at the White House, Russert will roll over and play dead like a puppy dog. You may even see W scratch Russert's belly.

17. There is NO way the interview will be outside the White House and its
"Presidential" trappings.... You can't possibly believe Bush would be so inconvenienced as to have to travel to NBC, do you? He'll maintain "home field advantage," for the "dramatic" and intimidating effects.

futility. Shrub will know the questions in advance so he can try to memorize his answers. It is CYA time.

Edited on Wed Feb-04-04 07:15 PM by DrBB
It would be a shame if anything unexpected were to happen. The results could be highly unpatriotic. And that would be bad for national security. I'm sure we can rely on our patriotic pundits to prevent anything untoward from occuring. For the good of us all.

26. an appropriate title for the show
"Meet the Press" Its about time they met. Too bad I'm sure he'll be fed the questions in advance so his writers can compose slick answers, because I don't think there's anything more hilarious than watching this muttonhead squirm trying to articulate himself extemporaneously. He should have a show after he's deposed called "Bush says the darndest things!"
