Reagan's failed economy = Dems fault
Says a good Repug at work. Democrat-controlled congress blocked many of his initiatives that would have spurred the economy.

Is this true?

2. Of course it's true! Repubs are always right!
I remember seeing a Retardican shill during the Reagan era say that the boost in the stock market due to Reagan's trickle-down was thanks to Reagan, but the job losses that came from the exact same policy (and he said it was the same policy!) were the fault of the Democrats in Congress!

I sell my car. I have money in my pocket now, which is because of my good decision. But I no longer have transportation, which is the fault of the guy that bought my car.

For some reason, some people actually buy that argument!

3. Of course.
If the economy's good, thank the Republicans.
If the economy sucks, blame the Democrats.
If there's peace, the Republicans have killed all the bad guys.
If there's war, the Democrats have turned all the bad guys loose.
I could come up with dozens of these.

4. Reagan signed 7 tax increases
in a failed attempt to make up for the huge tax cuts he ran on.

He never submitted a balanced budget once - the Dem Congress accurately re-calculated Reagan's wishful budget thinking based on entitlement realities - that's why THEIR numbers always came in higher than Reagan's.

Feast thine eyes on quality Reagan-myth-deflation.

6. Reagan was actually well liked by Dems...
and he didn't have any trouble getting something through if it had any merit.
