Why do liberals support stem cells from fetuses but not executed criminals

If we support taking stem cells from aborted fetuses, why not use stem cells, organs and tissue from executed, convicted murderers?

What do they need them for anymore?

How could anyone object?

It avoids the whole issue, but we still get the stem cells.

I would have donated the cords from my own kids. Would have had no problem with that.

To get stem cells to work best they have to be from the embryo before the cells have a chance to be differentiated.

4. Well, for one,

stem cells are useful only when the body has not completely formed yet - I don't think adult stem cells are near as useful as those received from fetuses.

Second of all, if lethal injection is the execution method, every organ in that body is going to be tainted with toxic chemicals which cannot be easily removed, rendering the organs useless.

Electricity will render most of the orgnas useless as well.

Finally, the state has no right to murder people in revenge. It is disgusting.

A quick layman's response would be that a number of scientists are convinced that no new research can be gained by using adult stem cells. The incredible advances in blood cell research came from embryonic stem cell research and only further future advances in other medical science can be gained with the "pristine" embryonic stem cells.
