Call to arms--Contact your candidates NOW!
We know that BBV has been making some waves with the work they do--it is evident from the number of articles from Government sources and from electronic experts that say electronic voting is flawed, that there is a huge doubt about the security and accuracy of the totals.

There are anomalies in the NH primary vote totals as well as in other states where electronic voting was used. You can see discussions of this in the GD Elections forum today--several of them, in fact. You can read any number of blogs and see it.

I don't care who it is--what campaign--we ALL need to be concerned that there is an issue. I also know there is probably some reluctance for any one campaign to ask for recounts--they don't want to look bad.

They ALL need to be calling for a recount at least in NH to start. This is the only way to prove that electronic voting is either reliable or unreliable. EVERY Dem needs to be on this bandwagon calling for a recount. How else will we ever trust the results in November?

I don't much care who the nominee is--I'll work Satan himself against shrub in November. My biggest concern is that we should be able to work for ousting bush and know that the deck isn't stacked against us.

I urge you all to contact whatever campaign you are working to help and urge that campaign, that candidate, to stand up for democracy and untampered voting. CALL FOR A RECALL NOW!!!

Laura

5. Here is some stuff on it from here at DU:
This is a link to an excellent post by Eloriel that really made me think about this. She has several good links in here:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=266179&mesg_id=266179

Burt worm has been looking at it for a while now and here is a link to his most recent thread:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=266547&mesg_id=266547

Now, before anybody gets upset that I'm leaning to any one candidate here, realize they are working for a different candidate than I am...

I also think that given the discussions that are out there by all the candidates about the issue of votes and integrity of the process, this is something that is a DEM issue--not any single candidate or campaign. I think we owe it to ourselves to get loud NOW before it IS the General election.

This election is critical to all of us--and if the Dems are gonna have a chance of success we have GOT to get together and make sure this voting process is safe.

What is that old Franklin saying? If we don't hang together we shall most assuredly hang seperatly...
