Question about "educational" hacker organization
I was taken aback the other day to find my home computer hacked into from www.ecs.org -- the "Education Commission of the States". At first I just dismissed it as some student hacker questing about...but Googling reveals that its chairmen have included such luminaries as John Ashcroft and VA governor Mark Warner. Is there any evidence that this is some sort of spook branch for the BFEE?

1. No, just another organization with a poorly secured server.
Hackers love to break into educational and non-profit sites, then use these as intermediaries for attacking other systems.

Maybe just notify ECS that someone is using their machine to hack your home system, and provide them the logs to prove it.
