Romano house (Macaroni Grill) across from old Cheney digs leveled!
The Romano house (complete with a GOP elephant topiary in the front yard - lighted at Christmas) has been leveled. It was one of my favorite single-story contemporary designs in Highland Park. It was directly across the street (Euclid) from Dick and Lynn Cheney's house. What was probably a $5 million house on a $5 million dollar lot is gone.

Now. Lynn Cheney shows up across the street from me all the time. At a b___h named Rebecca Collins' house. RC designs and sells jewelry. She has a shop on Preston. But she continues to operate illegally from her home, across the street from me! I continue to complain to the city, since she is in violation of Dallas City code. But she gets a PASS! She (Rebecca) does so much business with Lynn Cheney, who would rather come to Rebecca's house, that the city turns their eye from the obvious code violations.

My theory: The Cheney's like Euclid (the site is less than 100 meters from the Highland Park police station and they do need protection). Cheney will be off the ticket, one way or the other, by 12/2004. Cheney will be pardoned by a lame-duck Bu$h or a Bu$h who has been installed by the supreme court with another VP. The pardoned-felon Cheney will go back to work for Halliburton and build a gross MacMansion on the 120-ft frontage lot that used to be the family Ramano's. Whatever. Lynn will always have a great kitchen to prepare her favorite snack: Bowls of black scorpions.

2. Matters not where they live ...
The rich don't vote. Cheney doesn't, anyway. Mind-boggling, huh? All I could think about in the 'Nam was getting back and voting the M-Fs who were running the show out of office!

I have been dog-ass poor and still managed to vote. The tide has turned and we have found ourselves relatively affluent, and we still vote. Then the tide swings and we are pinching pennies again ... no big deal. WE ALWAYS VOTE DEMOCRATIC!

4. Say, DemoTex -- if Dick and Lynn move in ...
... are you and your dog ready to pay them your "compliments", as before?
