Ok analysts, poke some holes through this one, or give it legs and legitimacy.

This was reported to us earlier today. What do you think of the results, and who can shed further light on it?

I'm not taking a position on any candidate, I just want to shake out any concerns we see with the machines... And here we are with the state that was "all-paper"... And GEMS...

1. That's a big spread

Why am I not surprised?

People, paper and pencil votes, counted by hand, are the only way we will get a proper count.

I hope someone asks for a recount. I'll donate $ to whoever does.

2. Need to count those optical scans
Greg,

Thanks for this information.

I'd say a hand count of the optical scan is in order.

Does anyone have the real information on Iowa? What I hear see-saws back and forth- noses, or DRE's. Which was it?

I am not taking sides here, either. But Kerry's sudden leap ahead is curious. IMHOP, he's the candidate least likely to severely penalize those who went before. Like I said, that is only my opinion.

3. I didn'know Diebold machines were used there
What about Iowa?

What explains Dean's big upset in that state? Last minute undecideds? Something else?
I heard evm's weren't used in Iowa.
