Tell me about Naomi Wolf

She's now the only reason I'd ever watch Dennis Miller's new whorefest of a program.

Someone here, I believe, convinced me that she was a centrist and not a real liberal/Democrat (which of course is what you'd expect to represent the left on a conservative show like this), but after watching the show a few times, she's a fighter! She seems really liberal and isnt the Tammy Bruce faux-Dem that I was expecting. Naomi was attacking the Patriot Act hard on the last one I saw.

So who is this woman? Is she a real liberal, a real Dem? I've never heard of her before this show..

or at least that's how I know here. She has a column too. Someplace.

She was a consultant to Gore coming to "fame" for telling Gore to wear browns. She was marginalized as was Gore as a result. Which has sort of been her view of the world: women are marginalized.

(She has much more to say than how to dress.)

I think she's a liberal but I don't know her views on many things.

2. According to the Daily Howler, the story is untrue.

The Daily Howler says that Dick Morris SPECULATED that Naomi Wolf told Al Gore how to dress. Wolf and Gore both said that was untrue, but the media repeated it as fact.

3. She's the one Al Gore hired as a consultant in the 2000 election.

The one he got raked over the coals for hiring because it supposedly demonstrated his flip flopping and insecurity about his identity (wearing earth tones and cowboy boots, blah blah). The Daily Howler has done some great work on how Al Gore was savaged by the media for hiring her.
