My RW coworker says Rush is "a victim"...
He went ape chit on me when I brought up statements The Pig made about locking drug users up. He told me I was full of it so I presented hi with the transcript from one of Captain Vicodin's shows and highlighted his drug-addled remarks. Coworker first tried to argue that I was taking the PILLsbury Dopeboy's words "out of context". When that didn't fly he claimed Rush was prescribed powerful meds by an idiot doctor who didn't explain the risks of addiction, and that AnalCyst is therefore a "victim". ANd - oh yeah - Rush was talking about ILLEGAL drugs!! NOT legitimately prescribed drugs!!

Jesus! He says I just hate Rush and want to see him sent to prison for "telling the truth". I told him I DID NOT want that at all. I want to see lots of community service in a homeless shelter or an AIDS hospice, or similar.

How brainwashed ARE Rush fans?

He also says Rush is "an entertainer" and as such should NOT be held to a higher standard such as Bill Clinton's penis is...

1. My grandpa used to say
"Most of the trouble a person gets into is because they're acting like dumb asses" or something along those lines. Perhaps rush and his zombies should heed those words.

2. What a wuss.
Like most masters of hypocrisy, they cannot deal with reality. It is similar to O'Lielly's 'ALL Spin Zone'.

Hey I like the idea of Rush being sentenced to...
community service in a homeless shelter or an AIDS hospice. How about work in a domestic violence shelter or in a program for recovering drug addicts? This retired social worker would like for Rush to understand how addicts to meth and cocaine have experienced abuse and pain also...real pain, real abuse.

I would like for Rush to see the inside of a maximum security prison, myself.

3. Is your coworker
one of those who thinks "entertainers" should stay out of politics?

4. You can tell him from me...
...that Rush Limbaugh is basically paid handsomely to sit on his backside and spread gossip. That, in a nutshell, is all he does -- well, aside from encouraging people to give in to their worst impulses.

It's pretty easy to be high and mighty when someone's screening your calls.

Larry Kudlow is the same. He almost got divorced by one of his wives (number three, I think) when she learned he was embezzling from their retirement account to pay for his drug and alcohol habit. He went into rehab and now roosts at one of the cable networks, where he basically looks down his nose at everybody and makes pronouncements. I'm sure he's paid handsomely for it.

But Joe and Jane Average, if caught with the wrong substance, don't get treated that tenderly. They might not even have substance abuse covered by insurance -- if, indeed, they are covered by insurance at all.

Sorry about the rant. Even sorrier to hear you have such a poor, deluded co-worker. He's got Stockholm syndrome, I suppose.

6. Prescription drugs are only legal when...
legally obtained.

Shopping doctors as Rush did is illegal. Therefore, the drugs he obtained are illegal drugs. No different than Nicole Bush who was writing her own prescriptions.

8. Victim of the creeping dumbass?
Rush said about Bill Clinton, that, "No American Is Above The Law!"

A controlled substance is a controlled substance! If Rush violated the law he should go directly to jail just like you would! Don't do the crime if you can't do the time Rush!

12. Rush is a victim: a victim of not being held accountable under the law
and not receiving equal justice under the law?

14. He's also a victim of
being an incomplete person.

Most R/W I have run across are indeed so lacking in empathy that I feel they are truly missing some brain functioning.
