Michael Powell on Today Show this morning..."deplorable, crass,
and tasteless" are the words, he used to describe the boob tube fiasco. And I was amazed at how well those same words fit him and his despicable sale of the free press to the right.

They ought to make some sort of reality drug for RepubliCONs. They exhibit the classic signs of psychosis: projecting and transferring the things that make them so disgusting onto everyone else.

They own the right-wing media but hire "journalists" and call it the "liberal" media. They go ballistic over boobs and blow jobs which they claim harm the moral fabric of the country, but they advocate war and lobby for the proliferation of guns which kill 12,000 Americans annually. Now who's really getting hurt here?

And frankly, looking at him, you have to wonder whether Mike is not motivated to launch the FCC investigation based on his own repressed issues. The guy's profile matches Alfred Hitchcock's profile to a tee.

1. Oh, my bad!
I thought he was talking about the FCC's boot-licking subservience to big corporate media!

No, he's just talking about Janet's tit again!

2. This man looks like he has never had any fun in his entire life
I almost feel sorry for him. Sheesh, what a sourpuss. Its a boob Mike. One of the most universally appreciated images in the world. Sure it might have been inappropriate but get over it.

4. My guess is he's upset because
he's lashing out against that which torments him most: His guilt over his private porn collection. I don't know what he's so upset about, Janet in her younger day's has an awesome body, I've seen it. But if he's that upset about Janets nip he should be REALLY UPSET about fox's reality shows which are much much more crude than that half time show.

14. Old enough to be appointed by the Emperor to a lifetime position
That would be 18, like so many of the pimple-faced Senior Legislative Fellows at Olin, AEI, and the other Imperial Propaganda Apparatus.

Prince Powell is a disgusting example of the Return of Aristocracy here in Imperial Amerika.

8. Doesn't he see the ridiculous
Stand he has taken. There were all those vulgar commercials, the guy desecrating the flag etc. Why isn't he upset about this. His rules are letting the media conglomerates to grow so big they don't answer to anyone.
He apparently doesn't watch TV except during the super bowl. The commericals for that reality show "Fear Factor" are the epitome of gross out. I'd never watch the show. :puke: :puke: :puke:

15. He doesn't care. He just wants to keep the Imperial Followers happy
Investigating this nonsensical occurrance will keep the Robertson/Falwell/"The Fuhrer is God-Sent" crowd energized.

10. Deplorable, Crass, and Tasteless?
If Michael Powell was concerned for more than his next corporate kickback, he would see that no one fits his description more than his good friend Rupert Murdoch.

As the media conglomerates consume more channels, there are less options. Even if a naked boob is something we should worry about (as opposed to unjust invasions, declining employment, and illiterate children), I don't see Powell and the fundies supporting PBS and other high-quality entertainment.

12. breasts are not deplorable, crass or tasteless
they are beautiful. I'd rather see the Janet clip 200 times (oh wait, I aready have) than look at that assface Powell.
I'm stunned so many people in this country are up in arms over this. It's so trivial. Haven't these people ever watched TV outside of the US?

17. No nepotism here... but what are the odds?
Colin Powell’s son, Michael, was the only commissioner at the Federal Communications Commission who advocated letting the AOL-Time Warner deal go through without scrutiny.
