Dealing With a Freeper Boss

My boss was in my office today telling me about a trip he took to Atlanta this past weekend. He had visited a site of a Civil War battle and was talking about war re-enactments. Speaking of a WW2 re-enactment that was in Pennsylvania recently, he said, "You know, the easiest battles to re-enact are the battles the French fought. Just throw down your guns and run away."

He obviously could tell I was a little irritated, because he stopped laughing at the "funny" he made long enough to look somewhat concerned and say, "You're not part French, are you?" I'm not, but maybe I should have said I was.

Then, he starts going off about the war in Iraq and how he doesn't see what the big deal was and now "everyone's just accusing everyone else of lying." Then he goes into a rant about how "it was okay when Clinton lied" but now "all of a sudden, lying is some kind of impeachable offense or something."

And THEN he says, "I guess that's the problem with a democracy when you've got two or more parties trying to knock the other out of power. A dictatorship would be a lot better, I mean, you wouldn't have all the checks and balances, but sometimes I think we have too many checks and balances."

Now, I don't want to lose my job in a Bush economy, so I didn't, like, slap him or anything. But AAAAAARRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHH!

10. Yeah, I Didn't Really Say Anything

This time. I think he saw that the French comment irritated me, and I didn't say a whole lot when he was going off on his Iraq tirade. I tried to think of a diplomatic way to get into the whole Iraq thing but I figure he's pretty much a lost cause anyway, so...

But maybe a couple "Hitlery" comments will get me a raise. If I throw in an "Al Gore claimed to have invented the Love Canal in the book 'A Love Story'", I'll probably be Executive Vice President by the end of the year.

9. Me and a co-worker....

We both agree that the most infuriating thing about working for/with moranic assholes like this is not that they're morans, but that they get paid almost twice what we do....

Just can't bring myself to start watching FAUX and acting like a Dildo-Head in order to advance my career.....
