Ex-Presidents, Widow Want JFK Film Probe

LOS ANGELES - Two former presidents and the widow of Lyndon B. Johnson are calling on the History Channel to investigate a documentary it aired alleging President Johnson was involved in the Kennedy assassination.

Lady Bird Johnson said the film "falsely and irresponsibly" accuses her husband of conspiring to kill President Kennedy.

No accusation made against Johnson "has hurt as painfully," the 91-year-old former first lady said in a Jan. 29 letter. Her husband died in 1973.

Copies of her letter were sent to the chief executives of three companies that own A&E Networks, which includes the History Channel. The letters went to Bob Wright of NBC, Victor Ganzi of Hearst Corp. and Michael Eisner of The Walt Disney Co.

1. Over the years I have followed the JFK assassination...

and there are a few things I've found out, at least to my inquisitive mind.

JFK was not assassinated by Oswald

Tippet was not murdered by Oswald

Johnson had nothing to do with the assassination of JFK, (although he may have had a part in a cover-up of info by the Warren Commission).

2. Good for her! Time the Media were taken to task for "revisionist" history

After all "Poppy" was "missing" that day and reports of him in Dallas and Miami are all over the place.

3. Johnson didn't want Vietnam

Johnson got stuck with a boondoggle of Vietnam. His aides were giving him bad advice.

I'm confident about this because Johnson was seriously involved with "the great society" legislation. It's out of character. Plus, the man had the dignity to walk away and realize that he screwed up.

I did see a great "History Undercover" on Discovery channel. They basically hired an uber-marksman and recreated the basic physics of the shooting. That is, they set up a tower of the right height and a road surface that mimicked the plaza. The wanted to see if it was indeed possible.

The result was that the marksman WAS able to make three clean shots after MANY, MANY attempts. He was using the same gun that Oswald used in good condition. The main problem wasn't the shot himself. The gun (in good working condition) kept jamming.

The guy in the test was a PROFESSIONAL shooter. They had footage of this guy shooting ski target FROM THE HIP without missing a single one. The guy was probably a WAY better shot than Oswald. But assuming that Oswald's rifle DIDN'T jam, the feat was possible.

Of course, whats impossible is for someone to lunge violently backward as a result of taking a bullet in the back of the head. Whats also impossible is for the back of someone's head to explode as a result of an entrance wound. Exit wounds do that.

So yeah, it was possible for Oswald to take those three shots alone. But those shots WOULD NOT have produce the damage to the back of Kennedy's head. Nor is the "magic bullet" theory possible.

The fact that Kennedy's death was published in a paper overseas BEFORE it happened is also a BIG tipoff that it WAS a conspiracy and powerful people were involved. The fact that the Warren commission PROTECTED them meant they were powerful people in the United States. If it was the mob, the Warren commission would have ZERO problem exposing them.

By Sherlock Holme's methodology, I'd have to settle on the CIA or the FBI with powerful financial backers. The same people likely killed his brother as well.
