Bring faith based charity on? Here's a good lesson why not:
Please DON'T blame the followers of the faith; this has nothing to do with them.

From the AFSCME newsletter:

PUTTING PROFIT BEFORE CHARITY – A new study by Illinois Council 31 reveals that Chicago’s largest Catholic hospital system, Resurrection Health Care, has cut the amount of charity care it provides to the uninsured and needy by almost 60 percent since 2002. Thus, the report says, RHC has neglected "its historic, faith- and service-based mission." Following a council news conference, RHC acknowledged that it has cut charity by at least one-third. Financial assistance now only goes to those destitute patients who come from its "service area." Council 31 Exec. Dir. & IVP Henry Bayer told reporters: "We believe that a hospital that has a charity mission shouldn’t be denying medical care to people simply on the basis of where they live." Council 31 is working with 8,000 Resurrection workers, at eight hospitals, who want to form a union.
