CBS news- regarding more Kellogg/Brown/Root allegations

Anybody else see this? It seems that our friends at KBR have now been overcharging the gov't for meals provided to the troops. Instead of charging the government for what they actually provided, they bill based on PROJECTIONS of the number of meals that will be provided, thus charging for tens of thousands of meals that were never provided or eaten, only projected. Of course, they have done no wrong- they claim this is all a disagreement over accounting practices. :eyes:

2. They say their estimate was over done because

you never know how many people will show up for a meal in a war zone.

In the report, Harry Waxman said Halliburton's overestimate was 42,000 meals for 14,000 people. Way overdone, to the extent Halliburton is offering to refund the govt 16M
