CNN just gave * another free pass.
Edited on Mon Feb-02-04 05:56 PM by Ilsa
This time on his AWOL status in 1972+. They said technically, he wasn't AWOL because he wasn't active duty, and that he had "fulfilled" his obligation with other duty besides flight time in AL.

I hate these F^#kers.

On Edit: Sorry, I didn't se the "Wolf" thread.

1. Wonder if we could find some
poor soldier who did the same and see what happened to him. Opps forgot, the poor soldiers were all in Vietnam. But what does happen to a soldier now if they do what bush did?

2. is that true?
'cause if CNN is factually correct, they're not giving Bush a pass..it just means the issue is not worth fighting over

8. if you can't say he was AWOL, then why bring up the issue at all?
Kerry might as well stay away from it.

3. The topper: Who's more patriotic?
Bush - 48%
Kerry - 34%

He reported that without cracking a smile....what an iron man.

4. Actually, it's pretty bad Bush isn't even at 50 percent
it also proves that's not a deciding factor for most voters.

12. Screwed up as Soviet Commies, circa 1978
Actually, MORE screwed up.

By 1978, virtually EVERY Soviet knew that Isvestia and Pravda were all lies all the time.

Meanwhile, in Today's Empire, most Imperial Subjects are filled with belief in their comical bootlicking Imperial Pravda, which is the once-proud remnants of the Formerly Free Press floating in the Oily Wake of the Party-Loyal Bushevik Sub-Media.

7. Of course, the commanders at Alabama have no recollection of him
But, you know, I guess its just a liberal conspiracy to defame our nation's greatest war hero.

9. CNN aired the story. Nobody else did.
Why don't you post 115 threads about the networks that DIDN'T run the story?

11. Nope
the more this story gets airtime the better. Anything that can create a doubt in the sheeple's mind about Bush is a good thing. No matter how this is spun, Bush and AWOL and deserter is being linked much the same way that Bush linked Saddam to 9/11. You must admit that was very effective.

13. yes, and people believed that error in support of Bush
what makes you think they'll be willing to think that their president was wayward when he was supposed to be on duty?

Well, I'll tell ya right now...they don't want to hear it, and unless there's unequivocal proof, they're not going to hear it.

15. I guess I'm really talking about the Undecided
Of course the freepers will never admit anything of the kind that is being suggested but the vast amount of undecided voters might be incrementally swayed by these reports, good or bad.

Edited on Mon Feb-02-04 07:00 PM by Ilsa
they hear about * delaying adding the military/war funding to the budget until AFTER elections, along with * creating an "independent" commssion to give WMD results AFTER the election, they might actually hear an alarm go off. Otherwise, thye'll have to admit they have their collective heads up their asses (or *'s). It was so blatant on CBS news tonight - out there even more than Jenet's boob.
