Report: Iraq War May Have Helped al-Qaida

By MICHAEL McDONOUGH
Associated Press Writer

July 31, 2003, 8:59 AM EDT

LONDON -- The war in Iraq failed to reduce security threats against Britain and may have harmed efforts to tackle the al-Qaida terror network, a parliamentary committee said Thursday.

Gee, what a shock! This British report contradicts General RIchard Myers comments just yesterday who said "People should be assured that there has not been any lessoning of our ability to go after al-Qaeda because of the operations in Iraq."

The Bu$h administration lives in La-La land!

2. It goes against the BFEE logic
that if you spin a lie enough, the masses will buy it.

The US media sees the Chimp as a cute folksy guy who doesn't need to be challenged forcefully for his constant lies and deception.

4. This is one of the main reasons why I opposed this war
Back in August/September I was going everywhere I could offering the following challenge to all war hawks

Prove to me that there are links between Iraq and Al-Qaida and I will support the war, if you don't then I will go on an anti-war march.

After getting sick of the sound of chickenhawk silence I read my way through the September dossier, written with a clear intention to shock & install fear into the British population but no evidence of Al-Qaida links was forthcoming. As a result I went off on the anti-war march with about 400,000 others, heard Scott Ritter denounce Blair's dossier as the fabrication we now iknow it to be in Hyde Park and it has to be said, that does seem to have been the best political decision I have ever made in my life!

For me there was no good reason whatsoever to invade Iraq and to pursue a war for such blatantly unjust motives is just unforgivable.

5. Well, duh!
The war was like a giant recuitment poster for Islamic terrorists and it distracted critical resources away from the fight against terrorism.
