...about those WMDs that are MIA
bush* is portraying himself a victim of bad information...

think back to the ENRON and other corporations that collapse -- these CEO's blamed the collapse on bad information and that they were 'mislead'

yet, in the months following - CEO's are now required to sign off on the financial reports and are held accountable

when congress approved the Iraq invasion -- they gave bush* the authority to invade. having the authority doesn't mean you have to exercise that authority - the ultimate decision was still bush*'s to make. In making the decision to invade - bush* essentially "signed off" on the plans - he gave his approval.

if CEO's can be held accountable for 'misleading' information - then why not bush*?

one of the excuses is "old and outdated intelligence" ... why didn't he question how old the intelligence was?

ummm bush* the first MBA pResident headed corporations - as such I would surmise that he based his decisions on current information, did he based his decisions as a CEO on old and outdated stock information?
errrr...considering that he had to be bailed out of those corporations - perhaps he did

sorry for the ramble .... the upshot is - bush* signed off on the Iraq invasion, and whether or not the information was old, outdated or just plain wrong --- the ultimate responsibility is his

1. I couldn't agree more
I would think that a sitting pResident would be the first to question how old the information was. In this case it was made to fit the * agenda.

The ultimate responsibility belongs to *.

Bush Rationale for Invasion

CLAIM:
"We gave a chance to allow the inspectors in, and he wouldn't let them in. And, therefore we decided to remove him from power."
- George W. Bush, 7/14/03

CLAIM:
did not let us in.”
- George W. Bush, 1/27/04

CLAIM:
“If in fact didn't have them, why on earth didn't he let the U.N. inspectors in and avoid the war?”
- Intelligence Committee Chairman Sen. Pat Roberts, 1/25/04

FACT:
According to the U.S. State Department, U.N. weapons inspectors entered Iraq on November 27th, 2002. These inspectors only left when the invasion began, and were then barred from returning by the Bush Administration after the war.
- State Department, 11/25/02; CBS News, 3/18/03; Sydney Morning Herald, 4/24/03

This time the old man can't bail him out.
