Probe Reveals: Bush Opposed War 'n' Stuff
That's right! He never wanted to go to war in Iraq! The CIA made him do it! They kept saying, geez, boy George, deze guyz got serious weapons, you don't wanna to go down in history as the guy who let Saddam get the US do ya?

And George, he sez, Nope, I sure don't, but dang, dudes, where's the evidence? The Murican Peeple won't be happy if we go in there without a Imminunt Danger 'n' stuff.

And the CIA keeps saying, just shut up and do like we say!

And George, he's all, "Nope, I don't believe it, ya gotta prove it ta me!"

And so they cooked up all these reports 'n' stuff, which they borrowed from Clinton, and wouldn't show him any evidence that didn't fit their nefarious obsession with Iraq. And so he sez, well, dang, if that's the way it is...

And they said, yup, that's the way it is!

And he sez, Well, dang, guess we better prepare the Murican peeple and go ahead on in there. I shore don't wanna, but if you guys say I gotta, well, I gotta.

The poor guy! But now, see, he's demanding a Investagation 'n' stuff. And the TRUTH will come out (after the election some time). And so don't worry, he'll be vindicated! Cause EVERYONE knows he NEVER woulda invaded Iraq if CLINTON and the CIA hadn't MADE him!

1. Yup
That reminds me of a freepidiot posting to the Yahoo news article about Kay's findings. Idiot actually said that Clinton's intel was what originally found WMD's, so Clinton was at fault for invading Iraq! Amazing what the stupids will believe...

2. You gotta feel sorry for the guy.
It was so obvious he didn't want to go to war, but he had all those people pushing him at the United Nations, those inspectors telling him he'd better do something and do something quick. And don't forget all those millions of pro-war demonstrators marching all over the world day and night, constantly screaming at poor old Georgie to quit acting like a wimp and start dropping some bombs. Why, any fool can see how a guy would crack under that kind of pressure! Right?

3. This is what I'm saying!
I mean, I'm just trying to be fair here. He may have some bad ideas here and there, but everybody KNOWS--if CIA hadn't been hounding him, month after month, he NEVER woulda done something as jackass CRAZY as invading Iraq, when the real battle was against al Quaeda. I mean, how could any decent god-fearing Murican believe a guy could be that big of an idiot and still get to be president of the U.S.? The only patriotic answer is to blame someone else!

4. You know, I've thought for a long time
that Americans' memories are screwed up -- long- and short-term memories. I don't know if there's something in the water or what. Maybe we're witnessing what Orwell was talking about in 1984, with the re-writing of history and all. It just seems like reality is constantly in flux. Maybe I'm just crazy. Anyway, if he pulls this shit off, I guess I'll get to see if I'm right.

5. Kick for a.m. satire fans
Now Richard Perle sez, "I've always been a critic of the CIA." Irony thick enough to wade in--to DROWN in.

Yeah, Dick, but you were criticizing them for NOT thinking Iraq was a massive WMD-infested threat, 'member?

God help us here in Bizarro World.

7. The sarcastic gene has been ripped from my body...
...by the Bush* Grim Factory. But a nice post nonetheless.

- We should all know by now that Bush* is getting away with 'stuff' that no other 'president' would have dared attempt...and he's doing it in broad daylight.

- The difference is that Bush* has the benefit of a DEAD free press...giving him the ability to say anything he wants and not be challenged on it. Hell...he and Cheney are STILL telling (select) audiences that they've already FOUND WMD in Iraq. One more lie means nothing to these guys.

- But yeah...you can count on 'anyone but Bush*' being blamed for anything that goes on in 'his' WH.

6. Amazingly
Tony Blair was forced into exactly the same corner. In fact eminent scientists killed themselves in order to prove how important the threat was. The BBC then forced the government to go to war by being unkind about Alistair Campbell.

9. Innocent and impressionable leaders, led astray
...by vicious, single-minded warmongering media and intelligence services! You can see the pattern on both sides of the Atlantic and it's not pretty. Who will save us from these evildoers?

10. yup--doesn't this kinda blow his image as a "Great Leader"
that's what all those "%110 Bush Supporters" who call in to Washington Journal say. Bush is a Great Leader, yup. How could such a strong moral men let those liars at the CIA push him around, huh? That's what it means when you say "It's the CIA's fault!" you know.

It always amazing to me that whatever great alibi the Bushies come up with, it's always TWICE as incriminating and shameful as the actual crime, once the implications are clear. They obviously don't bother to think anything through. And that is scary, when their finger is on the button.

11. Laura made him do it
She told him to prove he was a real man and not the drunken, wimpy coke fiend she married. "Go git 'em, Bushie!" she'd whisper in his ear. "Smoke 'em out! Don't be a wimp like yer daddy!"

13. Watch him run as the anti-war candidate in 2004.
I wouldnt put it past him. He ran as the reform candidate against mccain and the compassionate candidate against Gore. He is a political doppleganger.
