"Independent" WMD investigation: A National IQ Test
I don't think even the right wing actually believes, even for an instant, that the ChimpMeister was just sitting there minding his own business and then the CIA came knocking on his door and MADE him invade Iraq. That's the pose, but it's only a pose. And the "independent" investigation the Shrump is now calling for--and insisting it will report out only after the election, and its brief will NOT include the White House--is obviously being set up to provide cover for the Admin, not reveal anything to anyone.

But we already know. Anyone with half a grain of intellect knows. Anyone even marginally conscious knows that NO ONE was clamoring for an invasion of Iraq other than the *Administration.

So here's how I look at it: we're going to get what we deserve. I see reports of right wingers disgusted by these turds. How many? Maybe enough, maybe not. The polls don't seem to reflect any genuine disaffection with BushCorp, and hey, maybe people really are just as stupid as Faux News and most TV programming makes 'em look. We'll find out.

My thought, from what I've been reading and seeing, is that people are onto the Chimp, even people who wish they weren't. My thought is that he's going to get a big surprise in November--a lot of GOPers aren't going to turn out, and the independents who DO swing are going to swing ABB. Irrespective of this latest coverup.

But if we really ARE too stupid, as a nation, if we really DO fall for it, well, I'm sorry but we deserve what happens. Evolution is a harsh law, but "too stupid to live" has happened to many species, many individuals, many nations before--just check the "Darwin Awards" site.

The question is not, "Will there be an honest investigation," because it doesn't in the least bit matter--we don't need an investigation to know the truth--the truth is plain, obvious, and available to anyone with even smidgeon of rationality and honesty. The only question is, are we a nation of nincompoops?

1. wmd investigation = smoke and mirrors
Everything thing this *Administration says/ does is based on lies. Investigation? expect "cover up".
