Question regarding the upcoming troop rotation in Iraq
When regular army units will be replaced by national guard and reserve troops do they take their equipment with them?

I ask this because numerous fatalities have been prevented by the use of somewhat effective body armor for infantry and armor protection for Humvees.

If the national guard is to duplicate the current mission of army troops with inferior equipment will we see an increase in fatalities come March? I believe it is a strong possibility, but *'s plans for Iraqification might limit the exposure of these new troops to the accelerating civil war.

1. My stepson just emailed me from Ft Dix
he said he cant say WHERE in Iraq he is going, but we made sure he had his own Kevlar vest to take with him.
he also ended the email by saying.
"this is bullshit."
He said they monitor his email so he cant tell me anything else.
They leave "soon" is all he told me.
