Lack of coverage of Bush Rape Case

"Remember how the U.S. media ran with any allegation from any woman who claimed she had an affair with Clinton? A Texas woman has filed a lawsuit alleging that Bush sexually assaulted her, and only one mainstream media outlet has mentioned it in the seven months since it was filed, to my knowledge. In fact, I reached plaintiff Margie Schoedinger, who said I was one of the first media members to contact her. She is still hard at pursuing the case. "

"A Texas woman continues to pursue a lawsuit she filed last December against George W. Bush alleging that the White House inhabitant sexually assaulted her.

Contacted by phone at her home in mid-July by this writer, plaintiff Margie Denise Schoedinger said I was one of the first media members to attempt to contact her about the case. In case you?re counting, that?s more than seven months after she filed the legal brief in a Fort Bend County court."

By the way, Schoedinger is dead now, shot in the head with what people claim is suicide. I have seen reports that the angle of the wound makes that impossible. I had the link saved, but it is gone now.

1. That's correct....
the woman was found "dead due to a single gunshot wound to the
head". There were rumors that the angle of impact was "incorrect"
as a self-inflicted wound.

Either way...its strange how people that confront shrub and his
minions end up dead.

3. Like Hatfield?
That was probably a suicide, but he was clearly driven to it by Bush's persecutions, IRS investigations, promises of jail, and maybe even threats to family.

I still like Cliff Baxter the best. He was about to rat on the Enron execs, so he killed himself with rat shot. Very subtle sense of humor, eh?

2. The woman was mentally ill
That was widely discussed here. It was sad and tragic, but the tragedy was her illness, not Bush's crime.

As for the media treating it differently, it was obvious from reading her rambling, contradictory court filing that she was delusional. The media didn't jump on the story because it would have traumatized the woman more. As for no one contacting her, Will Pitt checked into the story, and spoke to other reporters who had spoken to her.

And as for Clinton, there were tons of rape allegations that never made the light of day on him, because they were obviously false. Juanita Broderick's was just as false, but it had been around a long time. In fact, the media sat on that story, too, until Delay made it public, and the conservative slander-dogs (Limbaugh and the wannabees) made it a public issue. She was interviewed on one news program (20/20?) and they didn't believe her, and didn't aire the story until the story emerged through other channels.

I'm not claiming the media is unbiased, I'm a strong critic of them. They are the PR Department of the Republican Party. And they might not report a serious allegation against Bush. But this one was false, and from an obviously disturbed person. And I base that on her writings, not on anyone else's perceptions of her. I have a lot of schizophrenia in my family, I'm familiar with the patterns.
