going to be a hate mongering (Talk Radio) any more. We are going to all sports February 7. Yeah!

Now the bad news. The new programming will be all automated. I'm afraid I'm going to get to see the Bush economy up-close and personal. In other words, I'll be unemployed, no health insurance, old, not able to find another job, and I don't know how much or how long un-employment is.

The fun under the Bush's America just never ends (sarcasm)

2. Been there
it's not fun. I finally got a job in a field totally unrelated to what I'd been doing before. What I'd suggest is that you volunteer somewhere-that's what landed me my current job. It looked good on my resume and the folks I volunteered for spoke so highly of me that my boss hired me!

A good place to volunteer right now is your local Democratic Party or ABB group. Won't pay bills, but it will make you feel useful, and it may segue into a job further down the line.

Good luck!

3. I'm sorry Patricia
I feel like my job is constantly under threat of outsourcing; the stress it causes is unbelieveable. I wish you the best; keep posting in the DU. Unlike the Bush administration, we really do care.

4. At the station where I do my show....
they house 7 radio stations and 2 tv stations and when I am there from 3 to 6pm there are only 3 people in the building. Its the same all over. The FCC has abandoned radio people.

5. been there, too
Start looking for a new job while you are still employed. It's much easier to find one then. Buff up your resume. Go to the library, check out a good book on interviewing, especially on questions you may be asked. Here's a link to one I liked.

Good Luck

6. employment
I'm sorry to hear you'll be losing your job, Patricia. As another poster mentioned, if you haven't done so already, do start looking for another job now while you're still employed. Unemployment compensation, for those lucky enough to receive it, doesn't last very long.
