I'd like to see the monthly breakdown of casualties rather than having to count them myself.

Afghanistan, too, the forgotten war...

I think we're going to run into a buzzsaw in Afghanistan soon. We'll be fighting in the mountains at 12,000 ft where there will be no armored or helicopter support. The Russians found out about that type of fighting. A dangerous aspect will be any entry into Pakiastan. The 30,000 troops needed may be only a start. The Russians battled there for several years. I doubt that we're better than they were.

The US was air dropping little yellow care packages to the Afghans? Didn't THAT make sense. :(

Thanks for the breakdown. January was not a good month for "peace and freedom" for either side (most Americans still think we're on the same one).

Notice the coalition deaths compared to U.S. deaths. Would be interesting to compare US deaths (Iraq and Afghanistan combined) to Russian deaths during its war w/Afghanistan. The U.S. is going to be bled dry, of our military and economic strength, just like the Russians.
