Is it time yet to start thinking about the House and Senate?
There's no point in having a Democratic president if the Senate keeps sending him Freeper Bills to sign.

1. With new the new redistricting plan/ semi-bi-anual/ the house
seems to be set to tip more right, however, we have an open Senate seat in IL, I feel very positive the Dems will pick this one up. We elected Democrats in almost all statewide races in '00.

2. Don't be so pessimistic
In an election with coattails, which this one could have if Congress can't get a budget done, the very re-districting that looks so daunting now becomes a Dem advantage.

The GOP had to "thin" GOP districts down to 55% or so to squeeze those seats in, which makes them vulnerable if external events intervene.
