Du'ers, UNITE! (universal signature until the election)

I know that DU is filled with many unique individuals, but I was hoping to try a small unity experiment.

I first found DU and lurked for months, but did not have a non free email account. I found DU through a link sent by a rabid local republican. She gave me a link to some stupid bashing thread. I joined as soon as I could find a “non free email account”. DU and www.pieman.com are my favorite sites. I love spending time at DU, and I enjoy all of your input.

What if there was one common theme in every message posted on DU?

I was hoping that all DU’ers would be willing to place the links to the two sites of 9-11-01 victims in their signature line. One DU’er already has them. I am looking for the site as you read this.

I am interested in keeping this sign of unity until Bush is out of office (1-1-05). All DU'ers would have the same links in their sig line.

There is no stronger message against George Bush then story of the hero’s and victims of 9-11-01. They are courageous and unstoppable.

I’ll find the links to the websites (or if you know what they are, please post them). In the meantime, DU, what say you?

2. It's an interesting idea, but...

I doubt it would be terribly popular until at least after the primaries are over with...and some folks do get pretty attached to their sig lines (I kept the same one for over a year, for instance). It might be more workable as a shorter-term thing, for instance the week of the 9-11 anniversary or the Republican convention, but IMHO it would be like herding cats to get everyone to keep the same sig line for 11+ months (Bush won't officially be out of office til 1/20/05, no?).
