Talking Points....What are the Talking Points to use this year?
the Rove Ministry of Propaganda, from the very inception of his organ grinder monkeypuppet's career in Texas has been PREDICATED of a fairly simple message (for obvious reasons), repeated endlessly.

the media, complicit in its actions on behalf of the entrenched economic interests that decides what will be, can only compliment him on his disciplined ability to STAY on said message, despite weak-kneed attemps to force him to stray.

what's needed is a SIMILAR program by "democratic" candidates and "liberal" spokespersons in the media.

say what you will about the neofascists in power, they are incomparably better than we are at getting their message out, and using their echo chamber to advance their propagandistic message until it becomes embedded in the public's consciousness==>some would argue into the collective subconscious.

can you think of a better example than the myth of the liberal media?

even an amazingly large percentage of liberals think there's a liberal bias to the media, according to a recent study by the Pew Center for the People and the Press, which was, not surprisingly dropped by USA Today:

So.

what are the major talking points which can be simply stated and ENDLESSLY repeated, until they can become memes of our own, little nuggets of TRUTH (rather than disinformation) that can be injected into the the public consciousness.

lots of very good writers, very expressive voices here

we can HELP!

1. Cheap labor conservatives
More:
Show me the WMDs!
Presidents get impeached for lying, ask Clinton!
If you're not rich, you're not really a Republican.
War profiteering, getting rich in Bush's America.
Why is Ken Lay not in jail?

2. Yeah, baby......Yeah!!!
THAT's what I'm talking about

this is exaclty the sort of thing that needs to be kept in whatever echo chamber can be created among candidates and the tepid "liberal" media mavens that are allowed to weakly express their mild dissent on our government-by-proxy airwaves.

thanks!

3. The repeated myth of the "liberal media" is the
easiest lie to see. If someone in the media would start telling the truth, repubican ears would bleed.

4. too true, but the media won't rat itself out
and, as Robert Kuttner said today on a 5 watt FM station, the Right hsa fought VERY VERY hard over the last twenty plus years to turn the media into its lapdog.

a concomitant of that is an extremely well organized, well FUNDED campaign to go after any and all voices that go against the fascist flow.

Kuttner spoke of the organized campaign against Krugman, as one of several he brought up to highlight how they're not content to whine about liberal bias, they want to END the CAREERS of those with whom they disagree, and go hardest against the ones they see as those that present a clear and present danger to their COMPLETE domination of the discourse
