So Basically Clinton Disarmed Iraq???
That seems to be the end of the sentence that all the television talking heads never seem to be able to finish. Ive been hearing the " Well Clinton wanted to Invade Iraq " excuse in full overdrive since the Kay Report has exposed that Bush lied when he said there were weapons of mass destruction. But now more and more its looking like if there were WMD's that Saddam or whoever disarmed and dismantled them during Clinton's tenure.
But if thats true, witch its looking like more and more as the days go on, I'm sure we will see the republican muddled history of it that it was Bush who made Saddam disarm..Like how Carter gets NONE of the credit for the fall of the Soviet Union. It was all Reagan is what is being shoved down our throats. But it was Carters sanctions and actions that helped..
But we all knew that there were never any WMD's from the get go..Bush was just trying to send in as many inspectors as he could to get the answers he wanted but never got. So until someone with proof tells me different it was Clinton who disarmed Iraq and Bush knew and did not care..Now over 500 Americans are gone. But im sure you will never hear it from any of the Fox News, hardballs, millers, Limbaugh's that Grace our radio and television..
Am I wrong or does the word need to get out loud and clear?
Scott

I mean i thought had had disarmed already..I really wondered why Bush was so gung ho to bomb Iraq when there really was not that much proof that there were WMD's

4. Three reasons for bombing the shit out of Iraq
Forget "Shock and Awe"

One: To destroy the infrastructure, therefore someone has to be awarded a no-bid contract to overcharge the US and Iraqi people to rebuild. Enter Cheney.

Two: Well, if you use up a shitload of bombs, you have to buy more. And I will be damned if Bush doesn't know just the people to buy those from!

Three: Because any FReeper will tell you that bombs, explosions, buildings collapsing and innocent civillians dying is cool and compelling television (unless its happening to us, then its an outrage, but ONLY then).

that's NOT on the teleprompter... where do you get these scurrilous lies!!! Clinton's bad intelligence was planted so the Bush administration would THINK Saddam had WMD and be tricked into invading under false pretenses...

Clinton went after Saddam's arsenal and i think Saddam got the message and dismantaled..Funny how no one said anything about that when Bush was planning to go after Iraq..America has been had! But its not like we did not tell em so..
Ya know i dont think anyone wanted Saddam to stay in power..But I think Clinton or Gore would have handled it a bit diffrently without the needless bloodshed...But then the Big Oil and Contractors would not have gotten what they wanted and freepers would have been denied watching things go boom on fox news.. Sad when you think about it

12. I sort of look at it this way
Bush one fought the 'third largest' army in the world (do not laugh it was said over and over) and we won in a few weeks, then we took every thing away from the country for 12 years, plus sent in fighters every few months to get anything we may have missed. After this country came out of the 10 war with Iran at that. Just who beat this all powerful country? This was a show of force and that we were going to take over the Middle East and this is how we could do it. Now we and the Middle East sees we can not do it man to man 8000 miles from home and Georgie Boy and his men do not want to face it. We could not do it in Nam either. Look at history and we see over and over that often beliefs in some thing win over just plain power and it is time Americans learned that. We must move on. Europe seems to have learned it.

15. If you mean I think he did, I do not. I mean......
These people in Iraq have had year after year of some one dumping on them and for some reason the poor people now have another country ruling them and they still wish to be left alone. Like Russia. Do you think Reagan did all that? Heck we and the West had been working on them for 50 years plus their own system was doing more to bring them down than we were.Iraq was an invasion not a war.It seems the war started after we said we won and the war was over.
