Do we have a possible Watergate scenario brewing here?
Every few days more lies are revealed. Will it keep building, or will
the corporate press whores keep covering for this incompetent boob.
Bushit might have to bring OBL out of the freezer a little earlier
than October.

2. No because Bob Woodward is too busy covering it up!
Amazing that we have a current scandal far more evil than Watergate ever was, yet the person who exposed Watergate actively covers every evil deed committed by Bush!

Can you say GHWB? He's had his fingers in every other nasty Presidential development of the last 40 years, how could he not have a hand in the biggest non lethal bringdown in that period? Bob Woodward is the biggest piece of fucking shit that ever drew a breath.

8. But, on the other hand,
we've still got Clark, Dean, Kucinich, and to some extent Sharpton in the race exposing the lies.

Tune in to the debates and the town hall meetings, rallies, etc. That is where, bit by bit, the story is being exposed, the facade being chipped away.

15. Woodward is Yale - Book and Snake secret society - sister society to
Skull and Bones. It is the Scientific spook club (skull is the intelligence/political wing)

Woodward also srved in the same intelligence unit as Oswald in the Navy (but at different time)

Bush may well have been setting the corporate puppet Nixon up so Bush could get the presidency in 1976 and certainly in 1980 (maybe even 1972, but it may have broke too late for that).

And Tarpley (Tarpley.net) pretty much says Bush was behind the Reagan assassination attempt.

go figure....

5. At least Nixon didn't kill anyone
We have thousands of dead bodies as a result of this madness. We
have billions of dollars worth of taxpayer money basically stolen.
We have our reputation in the world totally destroyed. You would think
there were at least a few honest politicians, CIA agents, and media
wonks left to turn on these bastards.

14. I was in the Army then, I know
Some of my friends were killed over there. This is a different
situation. I'm not defending Nixon, just pointing out he was run
out of town for something minor compared to what Bush is doing.

24. Truer words were never said, ...
It's the public knows not, that I dread.
But the words are rising, sources are fed
the ends in the making, commissions are led,
the people rise, power fills their head
As Watergate; BuchCo, will meet their end.
Else the Kerry deal will fluff the bed,
tyrants forgotten differences are wed,
smoother ways but very same sled
moving away from where we begin;
to Heal. rainbows

6. yea OBL will be out soon as the economy is in the toilette
and the shrub's popularity is going down. The real Watergate plus story which is being covered up by the media is the break in to the senate server documents of the Dem's by Frist's personal assistant.

7. I think we do
Even the right wing talk radio host when they are trying to spin the issues are creating people to think.

OMG what will happen if the sheeple begin to think for themselves. You could hear the callers little gears clicking in the head as they come to the realisation

NO WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION

INTELIGENCE FAULT?

BUCK STOPS WHERE ???????????????????????

17. Did anyone see Carl Bernstein on Countdown?
Edited on Fri Jan-30-04 11:45 PM by sweet_scotia
Keith Olberman was asking him about the drip drip effect of bush's white house and whether there are credibility problems..

From the transcript:

OLBERMANN: Final sort of sum-up point here. Has journalism—and I mean this both as practitioners of it and also as consumers of it—has it sped up so quickly that we no longer have patience for the kind of investigating, reporting, that unraveled Watergate and that none of these stories or any others that are likely to come up this year are going to get people‘s attention long enough to actually be exposed fully?

BERNSTEIN: Never forget that people didn‘t pay attention to our stories in Watergate for a few months and that things have a momentum of their own. And we‘ll have to see how these stories develop.

snip>>

And, at the same time, it‘s important because of what it tells us about an atmosphere of just sort of easy playing with ethical problems that ought to have a kind of hands-off sign of warning that‘s not being heeded by the principals in this administration. /end

http://msnbc.msn.com/id/4059164/

Carl Bernstein's words gave me a lot of hope that this is going to break wide open for Bush/Cheney......all in due time.

20. The way to get people to pay attention to the stories??
By circulating the stories continuously by any means possible. We can move the stories faster than was possible during Watergate.

Woodward and Bernstein did not have the internet.

21. I read on findlaw.com that John Dean - yes, THAT John Dean
of Watergate fame - he who said "there is a cancer on the presidency" is coming out with a new book, in April - called either "Worse than Watergate," or "Worse than Nixon" - I forget which. Haven't checked that site in a few days.

22. The big difference is...
... back in Nixon's day there were Republicans who were also patriots, and they were disgusted by Nixon's behavior.

These days the Republicans are just thugs, thieves, and Baptist bidnissmen with bad toupees.
