A trader looks on from the Euro Dollar pit at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange to an announcement by the United States Federal Reserve (news - web sites) on interest rates, January 28, 2004. The U.S. Federal Reserve opted on Wednesday to hold interest rates at 1958 lows to keep the economic recovery rolling but changed its wording on the future of rates slightly to say it can 'be patient' before lifting borrowing costs. 1. No wonder Bush loves China!
Their buying is probably the only thing that has prevented the dollar from completely collapsing... even though China is a dictatorship that has mass graves, severe human rights violations and already verified WMD (courtesy of the Reagan Administration!)Bush loves them.
