Bush: with a resume like this ...
it's amazing he is even running again ...

******************************************************

Hello ... I'm the Presdent ... hears my resume:

RESUME
George W. Bush
Presdent of the United States of America
The White House, USA

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

LAW ENFORCEMENT:

I was arrested in Kennebunkport, Maine in 1976 for driving under the influence of alcohol. I pleaded guilty, paid a fine, and my driver's license was suspended for 30 days.My Texas driving record has been "lost" and is not available.

MILITARY:

I joined the Texas Air National Guard and went AWOL. I refused to take a drug test or answer any questions about my drug use. By joining the Texas Air National Guard, I was able to avoid combat duty in Vietnam.

COLLEGE:

I graduated from Yale University. I was a C student and a
cheerleader.

PAST WORK EXPERIENCE:

I ran for U.S. Congress and lost.

I began my career in the oil business in Midland, Texas in 1975. I
bought an oil company but couldn't find any oil in Texas. The company
went bankrupt shortly after I sold all my stock.

I bought the Texas Rangers baseball team in a sweetheart deal that took land using taxpayer money.

With the help of my father and our right-wing friends in the oil
industry (including Enron CEO Ken Lay), I was elected Governor of Texas.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS AS GOVNOR:

I changed Texas pollution laws to favor power and oil companies, making Texas the most polluted state in the Union.

During my tenure, Houston replaced Los Angeles as the most smog-ridden
city in America.

I cut taxes and bankrupted the Texas treasury to the tune of billions in borrowed money.

I set the record for the most executions by any Governor in American
history.

With the help of my brother, the Governor of Florida, and my father's
appointments to the Supreme Court, I became Presdent after losing by
over 500,000 votes.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS AS PRESDENT:

I invaded and occupied two countries at a continuing cost of over one
billion dollars per week.

I spent the U.S. surplus and effectively bankrupted the U.S. Treasury.

I shattered the record for the largest annual deficit in U.S. history.

I set an economic record for most private bankruptcies filed in any
12-month period.

I set the all-time record for the biggest drop in the history of the
U.S. stock market.

I am the first president in U.S. history to enter office with a criminal record.

I set the all-time record for most days on vacation in any one year
period.

After taking-off the entire month of August, I presided over the worst
security failure in U.S. history.

I am supporting development of a nuclear "Tactical Bunker Buster," a
WMD, and breaking the nuclear arms treaty.

In my State Of The Union Address, I lied about our reasons for attacking Iraq, then blamed the lies on our British friends.

I set the record for most campaign fund-raising trips by a U.S.
presdent.

In my first year in office over 2-million Americans lost their jobs and that trend continues every month.

I set the all-time record for most foreclosures in a 12-month period.

I appointed more convicted criminals to administration than any
president in U.S. history.

I set the record for least amount of press conferences for any president since the advent of television.

I presided over the biggest energy crisis in U.S. history and refused to intervene when corruption involving the oil industry was revealed.

I presided over the highest gasoline prices in U.S. history.

I have cut health care benefits for war veterans and support a cut in
duty benefits for active duty troops and their families -- in war time.

I have set the all-time record for most people worldwide to protest me
simultaneously in public venues (15 million people) shattering the
record for protest against any person in the history of mankind.

I've broken more international treaties than any presdent in U.S.
history.

I am proud that the members of my cabinet are the richest of any
administration in U.S. history. My "poorest millionaire," Condoleeza
Rice, has a Chevron oil tanker named after her.

I am the first president in U.S. history to order an unprovoked,
pre-emptive attack and the military occupation of a sovereign nation.I
did so against the will of the United Nations, the majority of U.S.
citizens, and the world community.

I created the Ministry of Homeland Security, the largest bureaucracy in the history of the United States government.

I am the first presdent in U.S. history to have the United Nations
remove the U.S. from the Human Rights Commission.

I withdrew the U.S. from the World Court of Law.

I refused to allow inspectors access to U.S. prisoners of war
(detainees) and thereby have refused to abide by the Geneva Convention.

I am the first presdent in history to refuse United Nations election
inspectors (during the 2002 U.S. election).

I am the all-time U.S. and world record-holder for receiving the most
corporate campaign donations.

My largest lifetime campaign contributor, and one of my best friends,
Kenneth Lay, presided over the largest corporate bankruptcy fraud in
U.S. history. My political party used the Enron private jets and
corporate attorneys to assure my success with the U.S. Supreme Court
during my election decision.

I have protected my friends at Enron and Halliburton against
investigation or prosecution.More time and money was spent
investigating the Monica Lewinsky affair than has been spent
investigating one of the biggest corporate rip-offs in history.

I garnered the most sympathy for the U.S. after the World Trade Center
attacks and less than a year later made the U.S. the most hated country in the world, the largest failure of diplomacy in world history.

I am first presdent in history to have a majority of Europeans
(71%) view my presidency as the biggest threat to world peace and
security.

I changed the U.S. policy to allow convicted criminals to be awarded
government contracts.

I have so far failed to fulfill my pledge to bring Osama Bin Laden to justice.

RECORDS AND REFERENCES:

All records of my tenure as Govnor of Texas are now in my father's
library, sealed, and unavailable for public view.

All records of SEC investigations into my insider trading and my
bankrupt companies are sealed in secrecy and unavailable for public
view.

All records or minutes from meetings that I, or my Vice-Presdent,
attended regarding public energy policy are sealed in secrecy and
unavailable for public review.

Please consider my experience when voting in 2004 -

Send this to every voter you know.

And yes, it does in fact suprise me as well. People should be calling for Dubya's head.

Hopefully the American people won't be this stupid come November.

2. Bogus
So many of the things in this are false I am getting tired of seeing it and people falling for it. There are plenty of factual things we can post and send to friends and family to defeat Bush. We don't need to resort to falsehoods.

If you send this to someone and they take quick notice of the many falsehoods then they will forever doubt any information you send them.

He was the governor during the time of the most executions.
That is a fact. So is the fact that he did not stay a single execution even one for a man with an IQ of a 7 year old.
I will review the stock market issue, but this is not the only place I have heard that stated.

20. You are mostly wrong.
Texas Governor can not issue a clemency or a pardon, correct, BUT he still runs the show. He has the power to deny clemency or pardons that are recommended by the Board. He actually appoints those members sitting on the board too. There are no formal rules in place either to guide them in their decision making process.

It IS true that Bush set the record for most executions by any governor in American History.

The Associated Press calculated that Mr. Bush set a 50-year low in
Texas in the number of pardons he granted, 19, including six convicts
who had proved they were not guilty.

It's not as though he was whining back then that Texas was killing too many convicts. If he was upset about setting the record for most executions he could have replaced the board members that he appointed in the 1st place.

Edited on Tue Jan-27-04 11:39 AM by RationalRose
I have read two biographies of Shrub-one glowing and another critical-and many of the points on the resume appear in both books.

Please tell us which ones are false, providing links if applicable.

this is typical of his style of arguing. And of the debating skills featured on other websites.

Transparent. Tiresome. :eyes:

17. I can
and I posted a couple examples above. Here are a couple more...

I presided over the biggest energy crisis in U.S. history and refused to intervene when corruption involving the oil industry was revealed.

I would strongly suggest that energy crisis of the early 70's was far worse than the recent California situation.

I presided over the highest gasoline prices in U.S. history.

Also false.
http://www.energy.ca.gov/gasoline/statistics/gasoline_cpi_adjusted.html

All records of my tenure as Govnor of Texas are now in my father's
library, sealed, and unavailable for public view.

Not true.
http://www.tsl.state.tx.us/arc/findingaids/bush.html

The records of Governor George W. Bush are available for research. Researchers will expedite the fulfillment of their reference requests by first consulting finding aids. Requests for records must follow the procedures set forth in the Texas Public Information Act.

The Records of Governor George W. Bush are available for research despite the fact that they have not been fully prepared for research. As the Archives' staff prepares each group of records, this finding aid is updated on the Web at TARO (Texas Archival Resources Online).

The finding aids listed here will also assist researchers in locating records of interest.

There is however someone running for president who has sealed their records.

There maybe some spin done for humor's sake. If there are actual false statements, please tell us which ones so we can correct them.

9. Besides the many spelling mistakes
When the resume states "I presided" or "As president" we are clearly being misled. He is not the president, he is the monarch. He did not preside, His vice president did.

C'mon folks, lets stick with the facts!!

22. Why the focus on numb nuts.
This punk does not know his ass from his elbow. What is with these posts that 'credit' him with anything. This deflects from the real tragedy that has befallen Our Country, the coup by facists.
I beleive the Traitors are better exemplified by cHeney if you must isolate a symbol.
