15. This is really spotty, but from what I can remember

he said that they panicked when Karen Hughes suddenly left the White House, having no idea how to cope without her. He said they described her as the "Beauty" to Karl Rove's "Beast," that she was the one who would beat his sword into plowshares, and was his "counterweight."

There was more, but can't remember. He seemed to say they felt they would simply be lost, and out of control without her talents.

He didn't explain why she left, or if it was even commonly known among them why she left.

Suskind is very animated. This is not your usual book talk. This is really good.
