2. Don't look now
But if the turnout on Tuesday is big, like it was in Iowa, Bush is finished. This would show people are ticked at this administration and are ready for a change.

4. While I'd love nothing more...
declaring Bushes end may be a little pre-mature. :)

14. In the same poll, his re-elect number is 43%
Think FAUX will be broadcasting their own results? Maybe once at 4 in the morning.

11. I agree. A strong turnout helps the dems.
I mentioned last Monday that the dems have a reason to get out and "warm up" for the fall GE - to vote in their primary - and this is good! I think any dem who goes to the effort to vote in the primary is virtually certain to get out and vote in November. So if you ask me, we need a GOTV effort now. Not just in the fall.

6. Yes
it was pretty bad. But I still think it's funny he actually LOST support since Fox's last poll (was 58 percent.)

15. Senior moment
Thanks,Caledesi. I realized my mistake right after I left the house and couldn't access a computer. Carl was excellent. Bob never would have said that after the book he wrote about Bush*.

10. ahhh, thanks.
Given that 25% of Dems "still" support Bush's job
performance, I say just give 'em time. They've still got 10
months to figure it all out. Bush has got nowhere to go but
down in the long run. Just too many negatives and not enough
positives to turn this around, IMO.

CBS News/New York Times Poll. Jan. 12-15, 2004. N=1,022
adults nationwide. MoE ± 3 (total sample).
Trend includes surveys conducted independently by CBS and by
The New York Times.

"Do you approve or disapprove of the way George W. Bush
is handling his job as president?"

          Approve Disapprove Don'tKnow

ALL 50 45 5
Republicans 86 11 3
Democrats 25 68 7
Independents 45 50 5

13. Those are the ones who have bought into the fear Bush is selling
They believe that Bush is protecting the US against terror. That is why Bush keeps using the "be very afraid" strategy in all his speeches.
