Is * taking another month-long August vacation?
During wartime?

I haven't seen anything about it, but at the end of ABC World News Tonite, Charlie Gibson(R-lackey) wished the little fuhrer(not his words) a "happy vacation".

Apparently, giving just his 9th press conference (at this point Clinton had 33, Poppa Smirk 61) entitles him to some time off.
For a guy that eschews all things French, he sure does like to emulate them when it comes to vacation.

I think that the President should have the same vacation package that many Americans get- 2 weeks/yr. after 1 year of service, increased to 3 weeks/yr. after 5 years.
And in WARTIME (especially an unnecessary war that the commander-in-chief was insistant upon starting) it's just plain in bad taste to take the time off...especially when the troops that went in are still "over there", and still dying.

If chimpy takes August off, the Dems had better pound on it relentlessly- and point out that it's not the behaviour of someone who wants to keep his job.

1. You have to remember what one white house advisor said . . .
last year. You don't introduce new products, . . . er programs in August. You wait till september when people are paying attention. So this is really the best time for him to be taking a vacation. That way he'll be rested and fit when it comes time to unveil another set of policy initiatives that make no sense and make life harder.

3. Yes, he is.
Saw it mentioned somewhere today (sorry, no link) in one of the stories I read about his press conference. I agree with you---extremely bad taste and the Dems should absolutely hammer home that point.
