Bush in Toledo Ohio on campaign trail....
Talking about jobs. Heard him on MSNBC. He was saying that manufacturing jobs were a little sluggish, paraphrasing.

But it is noteworthy that he is in Ohio, a state which has lost a reprted 300,000 manufacturing jobs over the last few years. This is an important state in his bid to steal the WH again. Democrats should challenge him every inch of the way in Ohio. By the way, did Bush win Ohio the last time? How many electoral votes does Ohio have?

1. Just caught about 10 seconds of his rant--
something about energy policy and gas prices that was rambling but ended something to the effect that Congress needs to get a bill to his desk RIGHT NOW!!.

I think he's working at being strident and confident while the world is crumbling beneath his feet. Boy's standing on shaky ground now and he knows it. You are right. Dems need to call him on it continually. The tough guy act is wearing thin with all the BS exposed he sounds like the petulant little boy he is.

3. There's got to be a connection - Repubs have been controlling the
state House and Senate, the two State's senators have been Repub since early 90s, a majority of the Reps in the House in DC are Repub.

For the most part, NE Ohio is Dem.

And the state's been losing population and jobs. Ever wonder why?

4. Ohio has 20 electoral votes
The last time Chimpy went to Ohio and talked about jobs, the company at which he did his photo-op went out of business less than six months later. Hope this isn't a trend for the people on whom he'll be inflicting himself today.
