Republicans disgust me.
I used to be able to respect the views of my Republican friends. Now I can't stand Republicans at all. There is a basic way of thinking that makes a person a Republican. They think that they are superior to poor and underprivileged people. They are all sociopaths who believe that if it's something they want for themselves, any way to get it is OK, but if it's something for someone else, screw 'em. Republicans who have jobs believe that they have jobs because they are superior to all the unemployed people, that they tried harder and are smarter or better workers. I want to see every Republican in the world homeless and jobless and sick and toothless, and then see how superior they feel. I think they are EVIL and if there is a devil, they are devil-possessed! This attitude filters into everything they say or do; that's why I can't stand to be around them anymore!

2. The media is a large part of the problem
There are a lot of potentially good people who have been misled by the right wing bias of the U.S. media.

3. Sad.........
I hope I never get to the point that I can't separate someone's political beliefs from their humanness.

But, more power to 'ya.

4. I understand how you feel.
THere are a lot of people out there like that. But not all of these people are that bad. Some of them just don't get it. I think that Bush is evil but to wish these kinds of things on a group of people, not all of whom are bad is a form of discrimination. I think that we need to fight fire with fire, but hating someone JUST because they are republican is tantamount to racism and anti-semitism.

5. OH HARDLY!! I THINK NOT!!
Tantamount to racism??? BULLSHIT!!

Dr. King said he dreamed that his children would be judged not by the color of their skin but the content of their character!

The Pukes reveal the content of their character every time they open their mouths spouting the talking points they got from Limbaugh. THAT is what we judge them on.

7. Good point.
Some of these people are simply clueless, because they mistake Limbaugh for the voice of reason does not make them terrible.

Blame Limbaugh, blame Scarborough, blame Bushco, blame O'Rielly, Savage, Hannity, Nugent, the rich and all of the fundies and neocons. But don't blame the average joes that vote republican because they don't know better.

12. What about "Personal Responsibility"?
"Blame Limbaugh, blame Scarborough, blame Bushco, blame O'Rielly, Savage, Hannity, Nugent, the rich and all of the fundies and neocons. But don't blame the average joes that vote republican because they don't know better."

OK, so I could become a Nazi, or a Racist, and it'd be OK because I read the wrong books, right?

I can agree that your average "Cargo Cult ReTHUGlican" is a poor deluded wretch, but tht does not absolve them of responsibility for their actions, IMO.

6. While it is true that there are alot of Republicans with the attitudes you
describe, there are others who are just as sick of Bushco as the rest of us. Some of them want their party back.

I understand your revulsion, though. I seem to have less to to with Republicans these days, unless I cannot avoid it. And I do not want my children dating or marrying anyone who is a repub -- not that they would!

But repubs are human, too. Not all of them are filled with hate. The ones that are are just getting most of the attentions these days.

We have to find a way to get rid of the polarization in this country. I do remember a time when politics was called "the art of compromise." I think we need a very long period of a Democratic majority in this country. They will need to behave in a gracious manner and to reach out to the repubs when they achieve power. They cannot rule by juggernaut, the way this crew does. This is the only way we can get our political system back to a place where the discourse and decision making is honest, and does not divide the country.

I think media reform might help, too. We need to get to a place where the Murdochs and Limbaughs of this world are seen as the evil little cranks that they really are. Have you ever heard of Father Coughlin? He had an evil radio show, way back when. It was so long ago that even I do not remember it. He was anti-semitic, and hateful. He had alot of fans, but eventually people wrote him off. I do not think most people, even the average repub, are evil or stupid.

I will not give up hope that things can change.

8. It isn't possible to be a Republican with character
It's possible to be a Republican and gracious in your private life or responsive to friends.

But these days Republicans start wars and steal trillions of dollars from our nation's children. People with character don't do that.

9. I'm almost to the same mentality
I steer clear of people who wear there "replubicanism" on their sleeves. In a way I'm glad they do so I can avoid them. Without principals, they are dangerous.
