Bush once again drops under 50 percent in Zogby poll!
See http://www.pollingreport.com

and he loses to a generic Dem by 4 points, and loses the "deserve to be re-elected" question by 7 points.

1. Isn't this FUN?
I don't know about y'all, but this is a simply wonderful way to fill those idle minutes - watching Chimpy's poll numbers slump and drip.

2. How well did Zogby do
in predicting the result of the Iowa cacuas ?

I've seen it suggested on another board that he was quite good.

The result last night was more than surprising, it would be interesting to know, for the future, which pollsters got it right.

3. Cacus does not poll...because of people who are strident
supports who find themselves in a non viable candidate's position and must chose a viable candidate...if the polls asked...Who do you support and who, if your candidate was not viable who would you support...that could be a poll that could reflect the Iowa Causus.

4. its a long time until nov
bush doesn't have an opponent yet, he isn't really actively campaigning yet, and there is a long time until the votes are cast. I expect them to fluctuate. It will be a tough battle ahead but not impossible.

Whatever you think about last night's results, the energy and engagement of Iowa's Dems bode EXTREMELY well for our WH chances in November. I think you will see more record turnouts in NH and SC, and Smirk get increasing more snippy, desperate, and incoherent.

7. I think that the fact that the Dems have several great candidates
is increasing interest in the Dem primaries. I also think that the fact that the person who will get the nomination is still up in the air makes it harder for the Repubs to do an effective hit job. In other words, the Repubs and the media focused on Dean, but we still have other great candidates.

By the way, if Kerry does get the nomination, will the Boston Globe still run negative stories on him?

6. I took part in their online poll...
and recall that question about if * deserved to be re-elected. I'm so pleased that you posted about this. They never send us the results.

8. Sweet!!
I hope his numbers continue to fall. b*sh needs to go away.

And some folks claim that Zogby is limbaugh's favorite pollster, and that he's a Democrat the way Tammy Bruce and Alan Colmes are.

Theres an interesting discussion(if you can call it that) down in the dungeon about a Zogby poll.
