Dem Primary season and affect on November (not a candidate push)
This is a general discussion forum topic to say merely this: I am very heartened by the sheer numbers of new participants in Iowa Caucuses. I am hopeful about the same trend in New Hampshire, Missouri, S. Carolina, New York, California, etc.

I am also happy to see the Democratic race after Iowa look more like a legitimate 4 person race. I am happy that the field is thinning but there is not a clear front runner now. It is very good for the Democratic party and the US in general. The people at large in this country will see a sane process unfolding where a solid candidate is chosen, and we will see strong challenge to Bush because it is clear that is what at least 50% of the people want in this country.

I hope this encourages all of you to get others out to the polls. Traditional party machineries will not carry the day. It will be the volatile and unpredictable group of new voters we and the candidates bring to the polls who make the difference.

All we need to do now is put our full energy into supporting whatever candidates come out of New Hampshire and into exposing over and over again the lies, brutality, and danger of the Bush administration. Our own lives are not safe because of him. Our jobs are not safe because of him. Our privacy is not safe because of him. USA's preeminence on the world stage is not safe because of him. We and the Democratic contenders can bring this up with facts and evidence and story telling to capture the minds of American voters in Blue AND Red states of 2000.
