Do you think Cheney could be impeached?
I'm not sure anything can happen to hurt these ivory-tower criminals

<"Can you imagine what the Republicans would be doing to a Democratic president who was a CEO of a company that now has gotten billions of dollars worth of contracts -- no-bid contracts -- without competition?" Costello, D-Belleville, was quoted as saying.

"There would be hearings day after day. And my prediction to you is that you will see in this session of Congress ..., there will not only be hearings, but I think there ought to be impeachment hearings.">

"Another small plane crash due to pilot error? What are the odds?!?"

That is, if he gets any traction at all...doubtful as the majority of Dems in the Senate and the House are gutless cowering swine.

9. Besides the GOP House and Seante....
Clinton also awarded Haliburton no-bid contracts for work in the Bulkans. Even if the Democrats controlled the House and Senate, it would be a tough sell to the public. Maybe if there was some evidence that Cheney is making money on the deal. From my understanding, Cheney's stock options are not that appealing. The stock would have to double or triple for Cheney to make out. The case smells, but until something else is found out, I don't see it.

11. Was Clinton a former CEO of Halliburton?
Edited on Tue Jan-20-04 11:52 AM by RandomKoolzip
Was he still receiving from the company checks in amounts of 1 million or more while in office?

However you cut it (and c'mon, the Clinton angle is a dodge, man) Cheney's relationship to Halliburton, and the involvemnt of other administration members on the directors' boards of Bechtel and other multinationals, raises serious ethics questions.

15. Well, would you trust any public servant who has spent
the last two years in an "undisclosed location," leaving said bunker only long enough to bilk corporations for re-election money at unpublicized fundraisers once a month?

Come on, Cheney's totally on the up and up! What a swell guy.

18. Cheney's ongoing compensation from Halliburton
Don't be fooled - he's still on the payroll. This is a PR from Lautenberg's office detailing his payments and stock options:
