Republican National Committee Chair Ed Gillespie predicted tonight that George W. will win Iowa in November.

Gillespie said that while George W. lost Iowa in 2000, it was very close.

for one reason because Nader got a good vote there. Nader will not be the Green candidate in '04 and I don't think the Green party will do as well nationally or in Iowa in '04 because of the widespread belief on the left that Bush must be defeated.

In some good news, I saw an article in the Colorado Springs Gazette Telegraph that out of the 7 states Gore carried by 5% or less, all but one have swung more Democratic in the past few years (the exception being Minnesota).
