Occupation of Iraq
I think hoping for significant change to happen soon in Iraq is a bit far-fetched.

Partciularly in an area that is in the grip of such fervent fundamentalist religious views.

We have historical evidence to support this, too.

After 140 years of occupation, there are still pockets of resistance down in Dixie.

Think about it.

If 140 years from now would we be happy if the Iraqis were still flying flags from their statehouses with Saddam's picture on it?
